Hey Marcellas , I live in the area, but couldn't make it to the show(family stuff). I'm glad that it was a good show!!From the looks of things, they are not going to be anymore for this season becouse of the underage drinking.I was going to see Bruce Hornsby, until they changed it.

Hey I love DSO, have seen them about 5 times. It's great to go back, see them, close my eyes and pretend I'm back at the day at a real dead show...They sound sickly incredibly like the real deal live....I'll tell you that.

I was also blessed to see one of the shows that Donna Jean showed up and played with them. I never got to see the Dead with Donna as I'm not that old, so It was incredible to get to see her live singing dead song....very moving (I'm into these memories...gonna resist rambling about some of my fav. dead shows back in the day).

Not sure if you guys have checked it out, but you can go to their website and they post setlists of what they've played, as you prolly know it's usually a set from some original dead show back in the day.....

After seeing them a few times, I guess my only complaint (not complaint, as they're real good, but the thing that sticks out to me...) is that they tend to pull off the popular live version of dead songs....Like most times you hear them play Bertha it's gonna sound like it did on "The Gratefull dead skull/crossbones", any time they play Jack Straw, it's gonna sound like Europe 72, any time they play a song that doesn't have a popular live version, it's prolly gonna sound real similar to the album....with cool deadlike jamming and song transitions.....while obviously with the dead who knows what it would sound like.....

All in all though, it's incredible that guys with the interest, mimicing ability and talent to do this find each other. A GREAT time! Id' recommend seeing them to any old deadhead or anyone that want's a little glimpse into a little bit of what it might have been like
