Fem Durban Poison X Skunk

Ok, so last year I did a bit of experimental breeding with a hermie Skunk and 2 different Durban Poison females grown outdoors.
After gifting a friend of mine some of the seeds and seeing what they were like, I decided to grow a few myself. They’re straight 12/12 from seed (since this is just a test and I’m not going for yield).

Five seeds from the best DP female were put under paper towels and all five popped and were planted into a single pot. (the one with fat leaves is another strain)

After a bit of growth, the middle one was clearly the weakest and a runt, so it was destroyed. Plants were then topped to shorten them and try increase the yield a little.
A week later the 3 best ones were planted into a bigger (I think 4 liter) pot. The fourth one was put outside.

Here’s what they look like at present. Started developing pre-flowers just over a week ago.

I’ll try update as the plants progress for those who are interested.

Hey mriko, not allot is happening atm. They're just hitting some major stretch.
This is what they look like now.

I smoked some of the same strain a friend of mine grew a while back and the buds were surprisingly crystaly, had trichomes along the stick of the buds if you know what I mean.

These are what his plants looked like, a lot bigger than mine...

Cheers

Plants finally starting to show some decent budding lately. They're not loving the indoors very much, making smaller buds than their outdoor sister.
They developed nitrogen deficiency a little while ago, I think it was from not giving them any nitrogen during stretch and they did haven some mean stretch going on. I gave them about half strength fish emulsion and the yellowing seems to have stopped but some of the fans were lost unfortunately.

So here's what they look like

Not much action here haha, but what the hell I'l carry on anyway.

This is what they look like atm, starting to fill-in a bit.

Hey there marijuanamat and thanks. And mriko too :D. Yea, I found only one banana on the worst pheno luckily. There are actually three very distinct phenos. Everything else is looking pretty good though.

I hit some of the lower buds of the best, banana free pheno with some pollen from this Thai x Superskunk male just as an experiment. Should be quite interesting, two trippy Landrace sativas mixed up with some Skunk for added potency and density. Will have to see how they turn out...

All plants have been harvested, manicured, dried and busy curing. Here's some shots from the curing jar.

Full dried yield from all three plants:

I have smoked some test buds and the smoke, although still pretty green, was very good. A good potency increase compared to the origional DP but less trippy from the skunk side. But still verry enjoyable up, racy sativa high with no indica downer at all.
I am quite pleased with the cross. All specimens were female which was the objective and only one male flower was found, the plants did get a bit of light stress a few times though.

You've done a real good job with those.I used some fem hermi pollen from a few bananas on my sensi star fem which formed 5-6 weeks in on and incrossed to my non hermi sensi star fem a few years ago and all but 1 out of 6 plants did exactly the same and hermied on me mid bloom so they got dumped big time.
