these things are awsome just like everyone says.
got a single 600MH in my hallway room..its like it was designed for the thing.

no mover in the pic my camra battery is dead, charging now, have pics soon.

its so awsome... still working out a hanging system for the duct...
i got the mover because my plants were strechy and not getting light on the sides very well, also ive got the 600 only 4-5" above the tops... the side-nodes have all started to grow on every plant. its sick.

Is this a new kind of mover, or a new to you mover?

A 600 watt HPS on a mover is my personal dream grow. Big enough to turn over a pound per crop without too much trouble, but small enough to keep plant counts low and power usage reasonable.

oooooooooooh DH man this is the one last thing I want in my room SO BAD. What kind is it? My only question is how I'd mount it since I have two different reflectors that are facing opposite ways for the ducting.

pics!

did you guys just use it for veg or for bloom also? If so, does it increase the yield at all? Does it effect the quality of the nuggs?

its in my veg room, and i think its awsome, its a 6ft track and it seams to be doing a excelent job at making the side-nodes grow.
i must say, sick thing.
headiez, you dont have room for a mover.. u have perfect light.

i liked it too.....

but don't make the mistake like i did that you put your 1000 Watter 4 inches from the tops of the plants......still got canopy burn.....otherwise, it rocks and is useful in many custom room designs........lots of great side-shoots too, like DH says....

:ying: kind regards from guineapig :ying:

question

question

digital,

in case of using a carbon filter before your light how would you do to get the "venting pipes" out of the way
i do not know the english name of venting pipes so here is a exemple for u to understand me

carbon filter- venting pipes- light- venting pipes- fan- out

i do not know if you ll understand but if u do thx for a reply

looking good digital! ive been running movers for the last few years non stop, with great success. really let me double up on my garden space.

I use one mover to move four lights. the mover is in the middle, on each side of the mover about three feet out I have sliding closet door tracks and hangers, i run a 8' piece of aluminum bar across the three tracks and hang it from the closet door tracks on the ends, the mover slides it along. costs about 20 bucks to build.

nice idea sauron
and i come back with my question to u .
if u had just one lamp what would u do to set up a system and not get the carbon filter and exhaust pipes (on your pic they are black tubes ) in the way of the mover and light ?

That's an awesome modification Sauron!

It looks to me like there are only three lights in those pictures, have you added another one since then?

I'm very interested in building this mod. The only materials needed for this are sliding glass door tracks and hangers?

Light movers seem like a great way to beef up your graw/watt ratio!

seaofvert, sorry missed ya question above, should of read more thorough before posting. If I understand what your asking you need a way to move the ducting attached to the lights and carbon filter along with the lights? It depends on the location of your filter and if the lights are moving parallel or perpendicular to the ducting/filter..

*use flexible soft ducting, not the rigid metal type*

If you go to the end of the rail where your ducting is:
measure out about 3 feet away from the rail and put an eye hook in the ceiling in the center of the path of travel the light mover makes.
then run your duct off the light with some slack in it,
wrap a piece of string around the ducting slack and tie it to the eye hook.
then run the other end of the ducting to your filter.

if it is a little tight you can move your filter so it isn't parallel with the mover motion, tie it to the eye hook and angle it over to the filter, as long as the angle isn't too sharp it'll work just as you want. as long as there is some slack in the ducting, it will bend and move just fine

to make a short answer even longer:
you ever checked out a grape/vine-type plant that is growing? they often put a little corkscrew in the vine every few feet or so, this is so it can stretch without breaking the vine when the wind blows, similar idea here with the slack hanging from an eye screw.

EasyBakeIndica, thanks bro, but i modified the idea from the lightrail company, they have a heavy duty model(lightrail 5 maybe?) above the lightrail 3, its made for multiple lights on one rail. this is just a few hundred bucks cheaper and works just as well.
I mentioned I have been running this setup for a few yrs now, the pics I posted were back when I was testing diff reflectors, now I run only supersun2's. I can squeeze 4 of em in there, so I have 2400 watts over the 6x8. It can easily carry a 175lbs from one end of the room to the other :) I have had this mod running for 2+ yrs with no probs on the mover, and she is still quiet as the day I got it.

I wouldn't recommend using the sliding glass door ones as they dont allow for adjustments, the track and rollers for the sliding closet doors often have a hinge on them that lets you adjust the height-to-track, which makes it a little easier when setting up the outside tracks. The only other thing you need is a 8-10' square aluminum bar($10 at the depot) if you want something light and stable. My buddy one-upped me and used some metal conduit from the electrical section, cost him about $2 but took some work to mount the round conduit to the mover as its flat on the bottom.

seaofvert... All ventilation tube is called Duct or Ducting, flexible or not.

I did a similar setup to Sauron years ago, 3 lights on a single Lightrail3.

I made a big H frame, the lightrail running up the middle, connecting spar, the other 2 lights running between the top and bottom tips of the H. I ran clothes line between these tips and hung the power leads on shower rings from the clothes line, in a concertina, so, after a little careful setting up, they run happily for years.... but they did not have the complication of in-line ducting.

Looks like you can get them from lightrail3.com refurbed for around $180.

Aside from that, HTGSupply has 'em for $229.99.
