SWEET TOOTH 1.1 opinions needed

hey man i havent grown the swt1.1 but Ive read some reports so i will try to help as much as I can. Dont forget not many ppl have grown this strain as it was kinda released in limited amounts by breeder steve.
What it is basically , it is a grapefruit clone crossed to a blueberry dad . The swt3 is the 3rd backcross to the grapefruit clone. So the swt1 is much more blueberry like, at least compared to the swt3 or 4, in shape and in calyx formation ( it will do like foxtails with big swollen calyxes similar to blueberry ).
The smell should be inbetween grapefruit and the blueberry. Its not as heavy yielder as the swt3 or 4 but the flowers look much more impressive and with more resin. All the people that grew it were very happy and if you are searching for a non-narcotic/couchlock, but more up and energetic indica it should be fine.

Hello, I grew Sweet Tooth 1.1 a ways back and from what I remember I was not very impressed. The smell in flower was not bad at all. I don't think I even had any ordor control back when I grew it. The taste was average, like a sweet/berry hashy taste as I recall. Yield was good, buds got nice and fat. They actually got some mold during my first run but I added another fan into my closet and never got that problem again. Potency was again average, almost bland, not a knockout but not soaring just in the middle with average strength. To me it was two good plants that when crossed just gave a watered down result.
Don't have any personal experience with SWT 1.1, but I can tell ya that SWT 3 is good gear. Grew out spacetooth(swt 3xspacequeen) and it was top 3 tastiest plants I've had...#1 as far as fruity goodness. Thing smelled like a damn citrus fruit basket starting early flower and tasted the same. Sweet mango/orange and sour grapefruit/lemon goodness all at the same time. Taste had me drooling and so did the high if I smoked one too many.
The day I can get some subcool and spacequeen gear back is the day I'll be the happiest head on IC.

thanks for responding, id like to get some ST3 also but its been sold out for a while, i was thinking about going with the LUI but was considering ST1.1 , im gonna go do a little research on spacequeen, can anyone reccomend any other ST crosses?

I have grown only 6 seeds of Sweet Tooth 1.1 and had an even split of 3 males and 3 females.
My other female that I kept I call 'Giant' is much less branchy and less red and purple on the stems and leaves.
It usually has several large branches and large colas on each. It does not usually color up and has a large yield.
The third which I lost...[OH GOD. STUPID STUPID STUPID]was almost a pure Sweet Pink Grapefruit..huge yield and a tatse like biting grapefruit rind and very powerful.
This one that I call 'exotic' is very branchy and has HUGE yields lots and lots of colors, purple, reds, lavendars..the smell is strongly Blueberry and Blackberry with a fruity and Grapefruit overtone..
it can take ANYTHING ..lots of nutes..no nutes, high heat low temps..no hermies..no deficiencies..no problems..clones easily everytime..
you can let it branch out by topping once and then let it go..
this was grown under a 600 watt HPS on a mover in a 3 gal pot with Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil and Earth Juice fertilizers..I use molasses and kelp in bloom and average an ounce and a half per SWT 1.1
I cant imagine how it could do under more light.
I am more than impressed and would recommend it to everyone..it has it all..flavor,the aroma is just beautiful, great up happy high, high yield , lots of resin, purples up gorgeous, dense buds with no mold..and EASY EASY EASY.
everyone out here loves it and even though I grow higher potency types

Sweet tooth is very tasty. I remember when that was coming through for about a month. Then about a year later a lovely cross called Sweet Juice was runnin around town like wildfire. Sweet tooth was definitely the mom and I believe the backstory on the dad was Juicy Fruit. Very very nice smoke, taste doesn't get much better unless its true skunk or kush. Like the strain, wish the high was a little longer but diff folks have different tolerances and certain strains get them that much higher. Anyways, def go for it if your thinking about it. It's solid smoke with great bag appeal and lovely coated calyxes with pockets of trichs.

wow thanks guys,your making it difficult for me, im caught between Sweet Tooth 1.1 and L.U.I., im trying to figure a way to get them both, but moneys kinda tight ATM, it sounds like they have some similar qualities with the main difference i can see being the ST might have it in the taste and up high departments and the LUI will possibly out yield it and be more couchlock, and possibly stinkier? any thoughts?

And you mean other 2 tasty fruit ones?? wasn't talking about other SWT crosses if that's what you mean. Far as fruit,, some stuff I was told that sweet island skunk (same as island sweet skunk?) that I had couple years back was greasy rotten orange goodness,, and I'm a sucker for cherry bomb/cough. Of course c99 as well...
edit: think your about right on the LUI v. SWT 1. Again, I've never run SWT 1, but I did enjoy LUI. Wasn't in love with it though, and for the price you could get a couple packs of other gear to choose from. I'd wait around for the SWT crosses that are supposedly going to be released.

I've had a SWT 1.1 in my mother box for a couple of years now, and I can't seem to part with her! She is my best yielder, finishes in 45-5- days, has a great smell, greasy-sweet taste, and she turns purple! The high is not devastating unless you over-indulge, but it can be a liiiittle trippy! Go for it! Breeder Steve knows what he's doing!

I know what you are going through..I do that too..not much money..2 good strains...hmmm..can only really afford one..hmm..
But sooner or later you either bite the bullet, so to speak ,and get the one or JUMP at both..
If I really had to choose again..and this is from all I have READ about LUI after 5 years of intense research..I would go for SWT 1.1 again before LUI.
I have read some ambivalent things about LUI[sort of neg] but never really heard a bad or iffy thing about SWT 1.1.
Another factor for me is that SWT 1.1 seems to be sold out much fatser and much more often than LUI.
So there is that too.
In fact I was so concerned that it might go away[ during a time when it looked like Spice of Life might go away] that I made ALOT of F2's of the best Phenos. Just in case.And they are just like my Pheno 'EXOTIC'
Personally I will never let go of my SWT 1.1.

Pesudo, go buy a carbon filter on ebay for 130 bucks.. .. order problem solved..
Go with the ST 1.1.. anything with sweet tooth in it.. is worthy.. as i can remember as far back as early 2000s when steve released that Sweet tooth... .. and it was a BIG deal.. that line is worthy of anyones garden.. like south wind said.. she is a keeper in his eyes.. i would trust Steve to my garden anytime..

what type of smoke you looking for?
havent grown or smoked swt1.1 but have grown l.u.i and swt#3(inspected from bulk).
didnt have much choice on the swt as i germed 5 beans and only 1 popped but turned out to be female.plant grew very slowly and at the end of flowering it was only about 13 ins tall but yield was up there at 42g's dry.
when the swt was budding the aromas where very sweet indeed.buds were nice and fat with a nice covering of resin.final smoke was very nice with decent potency although i do wish more of the sweet aromas came out in the final smoke.
what i will say about my swt#3 was that i did build up a tolerence after a couple of weeks which you dont want to happen if you only have 1 strain to smoke.
if you like something stronger go with the l.u.i

hey there i thought the blockhead was some excellent smoke.
again the blockhead liked a very long veg as it seemed to be a slow grower in veg but wasnt shy in putting on buds come flower.these seeds were sol originals and again i germed 5 pips and got 4 females and 3 different phenos.funny thing was i grew the l.u.i on my next run and 2 of the blockhead phenos looke almost identical to 2 of my l.u.i phenos.
the potency of the blockhead is strong and even some of my friend prefer to smoke something else.the blockhead in my gallery had a strong grapefruit aroma and flavour and was caked with resin.likes dryer climates as buds are prone to mould.
