hey Bombay welcome to organics

maybe i can help answer some of your questions. when u water make sure that u have some runoff from the pot.

secondly Burn1 obviously cut your gallon of mix in half. You shouldnt save and use later any left over solution. it will be no good. just make a fresh batch every time u apply nutrients. so conservation is the key. if you do have left over solution just apply it to your outside plants.

u definitely need not water every day with soil or peat. i think your soil should be dried out in 3-4 days. if you find out that youre watering less often perhaps then u might want to water less on watering day. and perhaps feeding your plants twice a week is a good starting point. remember everone has a differnt water and feed schedule so its best to find one that fits your soil and strain.

help yourself by going to the organics for beginners sticky. lots of good questions and answerrs for ya.

good luck :joint:

how many plants, how much soil, what stage? light intensity, humitity level, any added vermiculite or perlite. assuming most of your setup is not too hot or cold and the plants are not in an abundance of soil, once you reach flowering stage start with about a half of gallon per plant. In 3 days check your soil. it shouldnt be really moist and clumpy. it shouldnt be bone dry like dust either, can be tricky.best way i can describe is that the soil should be close to the moisture level it was when you got it fresh out the bag. but the half a gallon per plant seems to do me just fine. btw i have 2 ww's in a grow bed with ~ 12 gal mix. In flower i feed/water 2x a week with a gallon water/fert mix. i know it seems obvious but in the beginning i was a little confused 2 so i state the obvious. when you are feeding that is the watering you are doing(like i said, not meaning to be an ass or nothin but when i started i was really thinking i was going to have 2 give them a gallon of fresh water + another gallon with ferts in it-i smoke alot :rasta: ) P.s. PHPHPHPHPHPH, so important.

NOT DIRECTED AT ANYONE: RANDOM THOUGHT
now that ive answered the question i do have a comment for passer by'rs. I know we hear the same questions over and over and alot of the times the search does come up with good results, however, how much weed is being smoked up on dis board. are simple questions really that difficult. maybe some can explain things in a different way that might make somethings more clear. Often much success can equal large ego's and can forget the little things that are so important like the wealth of information contained in the brains of new posters. how often have someone said check the stickies, use the search, well i have been frequently the boards for well over a year now. not much of a poster(I help when i can) but when i started most stickies and searches are so jumbled up and long with hundreds of pages and thousands of comments. finding out info can take hours and hours to get all your answers. this post took 15 min at most, with a rant, so in closing luv, peace, respect, and lets protray the sharing spirit of group concienence.......luv

thanks for responding, u answered a lot of my questions. Now whens the best time to water/feed? When the light comes on or off? Or does it matter?

Personally, I prefer watering/feeding at the start of the "plant's morning"...that way the plant can begin taking up nutients and water under the sun so to speak. Fewer issues with mold and leaving plant "wet" during its "night" hours by watering early. I water in the afternoon though if the plant is dry and needs water...and I don't think it can't wait till morning.

hello,imo...i wud water twice a week, then feed...i think it gives a good setup, keeps from any fert, build up if any, easier to alter in certain ways ph..anywat get ph tester for water an nutrient,mix..weigh ur pots dry, gives some idea,an that droopy look..or moisture meter..as wen to water...tigerblomm not 100% organic me thinks,so check phof nutrient mix...another way to check for watering,stick1 finger down into soil,if dry to first bend in ur index finger...cud b time for watering, compare that to droopness of plants an other methods above,an zero in...i think the amont of water, depends on soil mix, plant size an pot size meself...cheers hope this helps...j-----r/

I am outside...and was in 5 gal pots and had to water every day...it is 90 to 100C here....I just transplanted to 10 gal pots...and still when I come home, they are drooping daily--
I just put up more shade-cloth to help with temps...but some are "Ram-Horning"...looking like over-watering...but the plant is still drooping from either heat, or lack of water-- It is making me crazy...Should I give them the water, since I can't really do anything about the temps??
Keep in mind, they are doing relatively fine...the drooping perks right up with water...but there are still some water-logged looking leafs--\
You can kinda see here...altho I have already watered earlier--

plants droop from being thirsty - and they droop if it's too hot.

Or is it, or they droop if it's too hot???

If they are droopy and nt thirsty- and you water - that's a bad thing.

before you start to water - pick up that pot and feel the weight - - if it is light - then it's time to water - it it is not light - or worse yet, heavy,,, don't water.

This is, IMO the single largest and most important lesson - when to water and how much to water.

Your temps are way freeking high - -

100C?

that's 212 F -- I don't know any strains that won't wilt a little at those temps :muahaha:

what are you smoking?
Can I have some?
