:smoweed: Hello fellow chongers!! Now then, I have been growing my own :canabis: for a while now but one thing that is still quite unclear is when do I PK exactly. I have a book which says to start PK-ing, you should do it a week before the end of flowering, a friend says it's two weeks from the end and the actual bottle of PK say's to start as soon as you start flowering. Does anybody actually know when to start???? :yoinks:

rofl! I debate everything you said! Bwa haha!

PK'ing? lol!

Start of flower is the best answer you have. None at end of flower.

hey mrfista!!! not doing it in hydro, doing it in coco. Would you mind sharing what is so funny or have you just smoked 2 much. Am not a complete novice av been growing for a couple of years. Just manicured a nice blockhead, nice smoke, good yeild and great to clone. PK'd that 3 weeks before the end, it's hard to say what difference it made coz "BLOCKHEAD" is exactly what it sez on the packet!!!!!

Bottle of PK? Are you talking about pk 13/14 or just flowering nutes?
P=phosphorous K=potassium. These are both essential building blocks of a plant especially in the flowering stage. Thus P and K should both be used at a greater ratio than N in flower. When I was growing in coco, I used PK13/14 from weeks 3 through about 3 weeks til harvest.
You may get some better answers in the Coco forum.

I run coco and use to add pk13/14 at week five and six and British Bulldog said try smaller dose from the start of flower until flush and I like his way more , Not that that helps ya but its a start

back in the hydro days I remember the PK 13/14 from Canna was mislabeled like crazy...the bottle itself said 5 weeks in, the feeding chart said after small fruit appears, and their website was saying something like 2 weeks before harvest.....

Organics is much simpler. The way I implement it is I give the soil what it needs and the plant will get what it needs when it needs it.

Sophisto , I've grown both ways and Canna is simple to use as is your way of organics , I think both have strong points but I think organics taste better but I love the growth rate in coco

Potassium is valuable all throughout the plants life, not just in flower. Phosphorous gets thrown in my teas as soon as it switches over, then the nitrogen is cut a week into flower, and P levels are increased.

I would never use Advanced Nutrients or anything other product that is made in China. There are a lot of good organic companies that are based way closer to home.

Organic coco (with some compost) rocks my world. Big fat plants that yield high quality nugs... nothing better!

PKing is for hydro, in organics you make a solid source of P and K present in your soil mix, I usually hit them with high P guano mid flowering and kelp is fed often in my teas, I switch to plain water 3 weeks from chop date.

Fista must have been giggling at you quote on the addition of "pk" 3 weeks from end of flowering, it gave me a laugh myself.
