After the response to the other thread with the kief brick I thought it might be
nice to show how easy this is. I almost put this "Harvest & Processing",
which it should be and if the mod wants to move it I understand, but since
the first one is here I'm stick'in this one in here too. If it disappears I'll go look
in "Harvest & Processing", lol.
First up is the sack with the scrap, normal US grocery store bag filled to the
mark in the pic. This run has about 2/3 leaf and the other 1/3 is some Nirvana
ak-48 that tastes bad and makes me feel like I have a swarm of flies buzzing
around my head, not pleasant and some kali-most that doesn't make the
grade. The scale reads 487 gr. so were just over a lb. Well maybe not, forgot
to weigh the bag, somewhere around there.
Next I use a stainless steel sifter/strainer to break the leaf and bud up.
Then I throw the scrap in the strainer and work it until its through. I have
found the important part of this step is to have TOTALLY dry bud. I put the
sack on its side in front of a space heater before I start. Any moisture makes
this part suck.
Sifted
Sifted pile on the 120 lpi polyester screen. I used to card this stuff across the
screen and it took forever. Tried my hand one day and found out that works
10 times better and pushes less plant matter through so now I just work it by hand.
After first part of container is screened.
The Pokemon card is the same size as a regular playing card.
Second pic is after 12 runs to empty container.
The third pic below is out of focus but I wanted to show depth of pile.
Looks like we got just under a 1/4 lb. About a 1 to 4 ratio on kief to scrap this time.
These last pics are just random shots I took during the run.

have you tryed to freeze the trim first? I find it makes the hash much cleaner.. and a 25 % yield is crazy
