Thatguy's Swamp Grow '08

So I went out there 2 days ago, and let me tell you, this weather around here has made them take the hell off!! I'll let you be the judge.

So these are the 3 HKxWW plants.
This one is the smallest, at about 3 feet. I want to clear a little more. It needs more light.

I'm a little happier with the growth of this one, but I need to cut a few high branches from a nearby tree to give it more light. Actually, that will give more light to the first one, too.

This one is almost 5 ft. I have 10 plants in this small clearing in the swamp, and they all get at least 8-9 hours of direct light.

These are my 2 Frisian Dew. EDIT- The one on the left is actually a Passion#1. The one on the right is a Frisian Dew.

This is another Passion, with a Frisian behind it.

This is the last Passion I have in this clearing. EDIT- No it's not. It's a Frisian Dew.

This Passion needs a lot more light. I cleared quite a few branches out of it's way, but it still only gets a few hours of direct light.

The rest of them are bagseed, which are all at least 4 ft tall, with a few at about 5.
This is the only bagseed I have that's not in the clearing.

This plant is one of 3 I have in buckets. They are already rootbound, and need watering every 5 days or so at best.

Here's the rest.

All the best,
TG

I wish my yard looked like that...I mean it does just not with all the surrounding brush...LOL thank's for visiting my post and setting some people straight. If I grew where you did and a thief came a knock'n he'd stay in the swamp forever..! I wish you the best of luck on this year's crop and all that follow..

BB, not a problem. Pissed me off to see so many people running their mouths without knowing the whole story, and treating you like a retard, when it was totally beyond your control. Yeah, I've wondered what I'd do if I ran into a ripper or a "civic-minded individual" out there.

So I went out to my swamp today, but forgot to bring the camera. Things are still growing fast as all hell. My 3 bucket plants were wilting a little, but the bag plants are doing fine.

Silverback, here's something you will find quite interesting about the FD: They're already flowering! When I went out last Tuesday, I thought one of them looked like it was starting to bud, but discounted the thought. So today when I looked at that plant, it's got an inch tall bud already! So I looked at the other one, and it's starting to as well. The one that's been budding for a week gets a lot less morning sun than the other one, so I imagine that's the reason. But man, that's early!

Which reminds me. I realized, when I was looking at what I thought at the time was a Passion #1, that it in fact was a Frisian Dew. So if you look back up at my last pics, you'll see that I've edited in the correction.

All the best,
TG

I thankfully don't have anything like those predators. One bear spotted in the area.

My concern is rattlesnakes. I just so happen to be growing ON the hill where one of the largest rattler populations in my state is.

Rippers, though, that's a different story. There are LOTS of deer in my area. Wild blueberry grows everywhere. I snack on it in my swamp :yummy:

If a hunter finds the secondary path I made to get into my swamp, I'm screwed.

To explain, there is a path that goes within 400 ft of my entrance to the swamp. Anywhere along a 250 ft stretch of that path, I walk straight off into the woods. Once off the path, I head in the direction of my entrance. About 200 ft away from the path, down a slight decline, there is another, small path that leads directly to my entrance, and then to my plants. Now, I don't believe that hunters have any reason to go in that direction, as the undergrowth is too thick for a clean shot, or even for deer to make it through easily.

As for my going out to the swamp today, it's too goddamn hot! I'm going tomorrow morning, nice and early.

All the best,
TG

OK, so I've seriously procrastinated on updating my thread. So here goes.

I went out there on the 20th, and for the most part, things were looking good. The bagseed plants all needed water, the bucket plants BADLY.

Guess i neglected to take pics of the rest of the bagseed plants.

So I now have a bunch of flowering plants! Both of my Frisian Dew's started first, followed by all 4 of my Passion #1's, and last but not least, 1 bagseed plant that looks totally different that the rest!

So here's the FD that started first.

And the other one.

The P#1's I bent the top 6 inches or so over in a U, and twist tied together. Here's what happened.

Guess I didn't take a pic of the other one.

Here's the tops of the P#1's

Here's the HKxWW

A full shot of the first flowering FD.

Some better shots of the bends on the P#1's

The 2 P#1's that didn't get bent.

What I get to snack on in my swamp. They're all over the place, as close as 2 ft from my plants.

And a group shot of my clearing. 11 of my plants are in here.

Nice grow thatguy it all looks good...err maybe not the plants that need water but they'll bounce back. I wish I had buds on my plants right now.

My spot is the same with blueberries as well. I've heard when they mold they can cause the buds to mold so we'll see. Any experience with this thatguy?

I went out there again on the 24th, in the middle of the downpour there was.

I have 5 32 gallon trash cans I hid out there for water storage. The stream I was going to get the water from had already dried up. After all the rain, I figured that the stream would be back, and I was right.

So I filled up 2 of them, and went back the next day, and filled a third.

So now I have 96 gallons of water chillin in the middle of the woods! Thank god, because it looked as if I was screwed.

Since I was going out there and some of my plants had been flowering for a couple of weeks, I decided to P-K fert my water. I have GH's kool bloom dry, 2-45-28, which I gave to all 7 flowering plants.

Took some pics of the flowering plants again.

Here's the FD. You can see the purple coming out. It's super skunk x purple star.

And a couple of the P#1

All the best,

STS, first off, glad to see another [AS] fan!

Second, this is the first time I've grown next to them. I'll just have to find out!

Thanks, guys! I'll try and be a little better at updating.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Saibai!

I was planning on going back out there today, but after hauling that water around 2 days in a row, and then helping a friend move the next day, my back hurts!

So I'm waiting until tomorrow.

All the best,
TG

Looking good thatguy.
I follow the P#1 closely. I have had that strain a few years.
In -05 it gave me really a good yield. Early, potent and lots of it.
