Swamp Thang: I don't know, I'm not a Japanese woman 19-25 ;D
Smoke tests will be documented, love reading them and will be doing as depth as possible. :)

Back to the grow:

Man, I feel a little silly...I go up to check on my plot, and it was like something out of a cartoon...I'm going along, bending down, picking off any dead leaves, etc, and I get to the MaT, stand up and come face to face with a big clump of sweaty balls!
It's fruiting majorly, seemingly overnight...what happened to all the hairs??? We have a boy, no doubt there...explains the quick growth I suppose...I really expected it to have shown already, its the the oldest plant.

Bit of a shock, but this means I can make some crosses! MaT x Zamal Skunk, for one...
I'll have to get it out of the ground and into a pot, blah blah blah, I've been talking too much and not doing enough lately. Next post will be only after I've done some work.

Backcountry: Nope, these are meant to have been heat-treated or such to prevent germination. Those are also most likely imported from another asian country. Maybe a couple out of those might sprout though... :) They were for sale as bird feed.
The native Japanese weed I've had has been reasonably psychoactive, not bad for stuff growing in the wild, but obviously inferior to anything cultivated. Then again, I didn't really get that much bud, it would be nice to have some seeds to cross for a project. I stashed some years ago, can't remember where, moved house a few times since then. heh.

Conceptofsleep: Thanks. With the MaT, on one hand, I was looking forward to a big yield of buds, but on the other hand, it'll be some nice genetics to cross with. I was thinking I wouldn't be able to make any beans this season.
Green Label is great, much better than white. 5 years and charcoal filtered. :) I hadn't bought it or any other liquor in years, stuck to beer.
Can be a little hard to find...

Man, you should grab a proper camera. :)
That mobile phone ain't gonna cut it. (And I come from the land of Nokia, where they used to make rubber boots and tires (well I think they still do) before mobile phones...)

Hey, just got back from the mountain. My mobile went through the washing machine, so I either get a new one or use the digital camera.
I hauled up 120lbs, or about 55kg worth of stuff today, in one go, up a steep muddy mountain, in thongs (flip flops.) Not the best idea, but I was going to have a shower afterwards any.

Got to top dress all the plants with some high N guano, add some fresh soil to replace the soil washed away by the rain, give them some liquid organic nutes, trim off a few more branches off the bottom of the plants, and treat them all with neem.
Replanted two Zamal x Skunks into bigger pots.

Feeling stisfied for this weekend. Will hit them again next weekemd, transplant a skunk and satori into bags, hopefully have something worked out re: camera by then.

Just had a hot bath. mmmm...

If you're worried about the camera full of grow pics on your way out of the spot then just stash the memory card in your shoe and throw another card in with innocuous pictures... of monkeys

Hey guys. I was getting sick of my old phone anyway. I guess I really should have gotten the digital out from the start, it takes much better pics than my phone. Definitely need it to catch some budshots later in they year!

Last time I went up to the plot, I caught sight of a monkey pretty close, a brown flash through the trees. When I got to the plot I saw 2 more, pretty close by...they had obviously noticed me and were screeching at me. I screeched back. They didn't make any moves but as I was standing there peering up at their general spot I realised that I was in their element, and they had the higher ground, me being on the lowest tier of the plot. At that point I got a little nervous for the first time so far.

Luckily for me (or the monkeys? :) ) there was no physical confrontation, but I'm glad they are basically a nomadic animal, I really don't want them getting comfortable right next to my grow.

So, anyway, been pretty industrious lately, will share pics with you when I get them.

kallenavndk: Yes, I am crazy...too much vodka? NOT ENOUGH I SAY! :D
And I would definitely fight a monkey, if it tried to start shit.
I might even start to bring my video camera up to the plot just in case, put it on youtube. :) I'd pay to watch that.

Trouble is, they move around in groups, and they have a hierachy, with bosses and sub-bosses. I'd have to fight through the sub-bosses, like a video game, until I make it to the final boss. :D
2-3 monkeys would probably kick my ass badly. lol.

Pretty much the only thing I could do was to make scary sounding noises to try and deter the monkeys from coming any closer.

Lol Saibai what you need i think is a plan , an you always have to stick to it just in case, ´Before you fight the boss you have to make friends whit some of the sub-bosses yes you even have to mingels whit some of the ladies to0, and then you STRIKE DOWN UPON HIM WHIT YOUR GREAT FIST OF FURY .
BUT be fast, move around trow some jabs at him and duck them fist of the monkey boss, i belive in you ..............Btw can wait too see some more Pics of your Grow, Peace M8

Ha ha Kallen's advice to duck and weave as blows are exchanged sounds like the words of a grizzled boxing coach, but it also reminded me that the species of Mona monkey in my tropical swamp forest, on those rare occasions they gather near enough, will angrily mimic me when I bob my head up and down like a boxer.

Pisses them off no end, and they will sit there bobbing their heads up and down with a vengeance until I stop the provocation, after which they lose interest and leave, evidently deciding that once again they won the "bob and weave" contest, and conviced I won't dare escalate to the next level.

Heres an update of the plot:

Black denotes planted in ground, blue=in pot or bag.

From top left:
The top Hasberry and Satori just aren't getting enough light, and I doubt they'll make it. I thought so.
Next year I'll chainsaw a bit more, so the top ones can get lots of light too.

Next tier down:
Snow white and Satori, these could benefit from more direct light too, but they're doing OK, both around 2-3 feet.

Main tier:
Skunk #1 in the ground with a Satori? in a small pot, but buried halfway in with the Skunk.
Satori in a big pot, this one has big, fat darkgreen indica leaves. About 3 feet.
Hasberry in the ground, about 3-4 feet.
Collected 2 ZamalxSkunks from a different guerilla spot and transplanted them into a big pot together. About 12 inches.
This was where I had the huge MaT that turned out to be male. I collected some of the upper branches to collect pollen and put them into some water at home. I'm going to add the pollen I collect to the MaT pollen I've already collected, in the freezer. I dug him up and chucked him, to make room to transplant a Satori and another MaT that were getting rootbound into the ground. Don't want to waste a prepped hole.
A satori still in a pot.
The big ZamalxSkunk, about 6foot now, I"m going to top it or supercrop next week.

Bottom:
These guys are doing better than I thought they would, the two Satori are about 2foot, and I transplanted a root bound Skunk#1 straight into a 20l bag of soil, with a little guano.

Phew! I think thats all. 15 plants.
:bashhead:

Gave them all a dose of nutes, added some guano, peat moss and perlite to some, some molasses and a good spray with neem. Next week I'll give em some dolomite lime for Ca and Mg.
I saw a few whiteflys, about a total of 10 on the plants. There were lots in the general area. I think thats all. No sign of the monkeys today.

Still loving this thread and don't forget to bob and weave when encountering a monkey at the plot. I am going 2:1 odds on you Saibai. Insert "Rocky Music Here" Eye of the Monkey.

Great thread and lets see the new camera in action I too only have the lowly camera phone with shitty pics.
PEACE

Sai great diagrams bro! Please do not go fighting wild monkeys. Even if you dont die up on the mountain from blood loss, you will get some fucking disease or something. Monkey herpes is a bitch dude. The gift that keeps on givin.Bring a weapon of sorts with some reach to defend yourself with and maybe an airhorn to scare em off.
Good Luck man!
