accessndx-I have been wishing and counting my money, but I am much to broke to travel cross country. I have the time but not the money
Know anyone who is driving through the mid west to the gathering? I don't have to much offer but a mighty high ride and some good vibes the whole time.
As for the ic clan, I think this must be done. Us stoners and dead-heads need to stick together!

great news! my alltime favorite game was d2 I was a hardcore addict aswell staying up all night every night dueling and pkin noobs on hc 
ahh those were the days! brings back some great memories, my whole life revolved around d2 from age 12-18 kinda sad lol, i'd still be playing but its just not the same anymore toomany spambots and cheaters ect. I still pop in every now and then to see if anythings changed.

i played all the diablos....from a kid to an adult....the series is part of me...i have to get it when it comes out...

Ooooofah....I just checked the dates for Gathering of the Vibes...it's July 31st to August 3rd.....and I have to hit a seminar from the 2nd to the 3rd....(dammit) which cuts out half of it. Plus it's Jerry's birthday on that Friday August 1st....and we'd be travelling TO the seminar in Maryland on that day...
Crap...now I gotta see if I can throw down enough smoke and mirrors to pull the caper off and get to the Vibes!
As far as people coming from the Mid-West.....I'll put the feelers out...you never know who's still making those cross country trips to follow the bands. Plus if anyone IS making that trip....nobody I know would be opposed to a mighty high ride and good vibes...so I'll put in the good word...but no guarantees....right now it looks like I may even have problems getting to the show....other people may be in the same or similar predicament.
If you do get there and I don't: I expect a full report (and at least an audience copy of the show...) LOL.
No release date has been confirmed by Blizzard, 2011 was just a guess.
I'm sure it's gonna be sooner than that but I'm also pretty sure it won't be in the stores for christmas this year, unless they're much further in the development than games normally are when announced

The graphics dont look revolutionary or as vast of an improvement from d1 to d2.
Hopefully they dont spend all their budget on computer geets and graphics designers and get some good ideas for the character classes, special abilities, and new unique items.
Also The uniques in D2 were duped at some point and there became a huge amount of sojs and shit. Not to mention the MF sorceress doing mephesto all day long with 100000 percent MF.

the graphics honestly remind me of a mix and match between where they left off in Warcraft 3 and somewhere in WoW. They said they were trying to keep the dark dungeon feeling of D1 and D2 but as you could see from the videos it looks like someone puked up D2 with a bunch of WC3 and WoW characteristics - that is, artistically speaking =)
I can see the validity of that statement - especially the outdoors scenes remind me a lot of Mythos.
Other scenes are truely gothic with a lot of dark "aura" to them and gory details.
Part of the reason why it might look brighter/more colorful is simply the fact that they're using more advanced technology. D2 is 2d and has a max resolution of 800X600, while d3 is true 3d.
There is a whole lot of development ahead of them still so a lot will most likely change too.

Yep I remember when I pretty much on my own ruined the SOJ market and brought them down to like 8 fg on d2jsp, and before i started buying them in bulk and reselling them for less than anyone else was they were like 20 fg for the non permd.
Ahhhh i love d2, but definatley too many dupes everything was driven down to nothing, except for the rare permd items/legits to be had. I had a necro named Zebra on useast account name of course dkmonk.
Spent wayyyyy too much time, playing, and even thinking about d2 lol character strategies all night long in my sleep. Yeah im a nerd......

I have been playing Blizzard Ent games since Warcraft II. Every time they have a new game coming out they have eto work out the kinks for Battle.Net. I'm sure Starcraft II is in the finishing phases right now but they're still up in the air on Battle.Net. You can bet your ass that as soon as they have it up and running, it will be released. They have to make sure battle.net can handle every single person who purchases the game, instantly, so it's a lot of work!
Anyone else looking forward to SCII? That one is scheduled 3/1/2010 as per BestBuy website.
