Diablo 3 announced!

Yup now it's official
No release date yet but Blizzard announced 2 days ago that Diablo 3 is under development, and also put up a teaser site:

I've spent many hours playing Diablo, and especially Diablo 2 - it's so addictive I can't believe it's legal, haha.

Haha yup I almost botched up my studies playing Diablo 2 - got saved by the bell when I picked a lucky subject for the exam

watched through both of the videos they uploaded to the blizzard site from wwi - needless to say im am excited about this!!! Looks like they took some of the user created stuff from WOW (minimized tool bar) and made it part of the Diablo 3 engine!

Probably my all time favorite PC game. Been a fan since 95 when the original was released. Can't wait for the next game in the series!

They announced it earlier this year or late last year, I cant quite remember. Other then that, I'm sure they have updates that they put up on their SC2 site.

It's going to be an action RPG just like the Diablo2 - not an MMORPG. You will be able to play both single player and Battle.net.
So unless Blizzard starts charging for Battle.net access then there won't be monthly fees I think.
The gameplay video looks really promising, with some very interesting monster behaviour.

I HIGHLY doubt they will charge for multiplayer on D3 - Blizzard has historically let multiplayer free in this series so I would assume they would on this.

In addition - if you look at how well WOW is doing (they have topped 10million subscribers) I dont think you would see a greedy hand from blizzard, atleast I hope we dont

I can't FU*KING WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Diablo 1 & 2 were the sickest most addictive games ever. It was almost like going through detox to stop playing 2.....
Now with the annoucement of 3....I'm starting to get the sweats and shakes again.
I'm JONESIN MAN! Give me Baal, Mephisto and Diablo!!!!!!!! I will crush their nuts yet again...

I played Diablo ALOT when it first came out many many years ago, I have played it for years with many of my family members in LAN games. I didnt play D2 as much but, I still did. D3 though is gonna be nuts I bet, I cant wait to tell my dad.

When i was in highschool that game became like crack for me. I cannot count the hours i have wasted playing that game. But for some reason D3 sounds so interesting... But i really dont want to fall back into nerddom like all those wc3 foos.

BTW is sc2 already out?
