Ganjagrower - nice setup here. I am wondering, can you post any more pics of the exterior or your grow box? It actually looks quite unobtrusive and a lot more stealthy than a 2x3 frame with stapled mylar. Also, what are it's dimensions and what is the material it's made out of? Nice work.

here is my grow box.... it is 4x4x7

I made it out of 2x2 and 1/8 inch board that i got at home depot....
I think i spent roughly $75 total in the cost of the box.

With that light intensity you could flip sooner rather than later. Just plan how many main shoots you want and count all the growth tips. Upsize to final pot before flip.

what do you mean up size my buckets 17 gallons isnt big enough. there is no transplanting going on. they are going to be in the same pots the whole time.

day 21 my lights are finally going to 12/12 the timer is set and the lights are going out at 7 this morning.

OMG the light just went off for the first time 15 minutes ago.....:jawdrop:
I am officially on day 1 of flower. Changed out my water added grow nutrients
and some budblood...... I hope to see some good results from the budblood but
I dont know anything about it. So i hope it speeds up the flowering cycle.
I will post new pics later on tonight. grab a chair and some and enjoy the show.

Ok i have a question. I dont know if anyone can tell me but when my lights are off should i turn off the vent for the lights that way i dont lose all the cold air from the ac....
Thanks everything helps. I was thinking of putting it on a timer as well and have it go off ten minutes after the lights go out and ten minutes before they come back on.

My fan and filter runs 24/7/365 and has about 30 minutes of battery backup. I don't have an AC as mine is in my bedroom and gets central. If the ac dehumidifies the grow chamber then you may not need to vent at night.

I can't believe how dense the foilage is, looks like a head of lettuce!

I have seen other grows using CMH bulbs and they all seem to grow short and bushy plants - which isn't a bad thing, although I do like a little stretch during veg. Since you have just recently started growing, what was it that made you choose to use CMH bulbs? Just curious.

I am very interested in this grow because I have heard so much about CMH bulbs and I want to see as many grows with them as possible. Yours looks to be a great one to watch and learn from as your plants look as healthy as can be and should show the true potential of these relatively new bulbs.

The spectrum seems excellent on paper so it should produce well. Like I said earlier, I like some stretch so that light can make it into the interior of the plants. Sometimes with plants that grow too much foilage and are short and bushy seem to not let in enough light. This can sometimes can effect yield. I guess we will see how well this grow does and draw our own conclusions from how well the CMH's perform.

An interesting experiement for you would be to grow the same strains next time with a regular HPS in each socket. That way you can see the difference the bulbs make. I don't know if you have time to do something like this, but it would be very interesting to see. I sometime in the near future am going to do this so I can see how these bulbs effect my genetics specifically.

You seem to keep the plants healthy and happy as can be for a first time grower. Congratulations on a fine job so far. I am taking a seat. I can't believe I didn't see this thead sooner!

Thanks TGT...... you should pull up a chair and some and enjoy the show... they are finally doing some stretching.... The reason i am using the bulbs is a way better spectrum of light. Not as hot as all the other bulbs, you can actually have the light closer to the plant.

ok SatoriSOG.... i have the answers to the questions...
my grow room is 7' tall....
17 gallon top black totes are about 18 inches tall....
my 27 gallon res on the bottom is about 18 inches as well...
Well lets talk about the heat they throw off, not much i have to say.
when the lights out it is right around 70 and when the light is on right around 76.
so with that being said there is only about a six degree difference.

ok i am on day 6 of flower and my PPM is 900 and my PH is 6.1...
and the temp with the light off is 60 degrees.... should i bump the PPM's up on week
two....

day 6 of flower... starting to smell pretty good... but the worse part is i dont know what are males and females yet..... I am keeping my fingers crossed but i think the one in the front left is a male but i am not sure yet a couple of more days and i will know for sure....

day 7 and i had a design flaw in my bucket system i had roots all the way down to my res. from one of the plants so i had to pull back up it was like 3 feet long.
