im at 47N in Michigan, all grown outside from bag seed.

no its not to late im 39 north and i can plant all the way up till mid july and still get some bud. i always plant a few late to get some small plants that harvest around a half.

I second what Styles P said. Strain selection starts becomming more important. Dont try any 10 weekers but 50-60 days strains are still viable. Yeild may be less, but I plant up until August 1 sometimes

Victory Seed Company has an average first/last frost chart for all states. It's says the fall frost in Michigan varies throughout the state from as early as 8/15 to 10/01.

Of course, since you are using bagseed it is impossible to say whether it will finish for you at your lattitude. It might be a quick finisher that would work, but it could also be a crazy sativa that might not even begin to flower before the frost hits.
