I just pick em out as I smoke it. But you could let them sit out open air till bone dry shred it by hand on a tray and get to it with the tweezers. Tossing the crappy beans. Then pull off the calyx which are great for smoking. But its faster to grab a handfull and just dump em from hand to hand wiping off any vegetable matter while switching hands. Moist/sweaty hands helps pull that shit off. then comes the twezers again for the final inspection pulling out crappy yellow green ones. wouldnt be surprised if there was a machine out there to do it.

the longer you let your plants go, the easier the seeds fall out and the fatter and healthier they will be. Don't let her babies dry out and make sure they're ready to be born when you chop- otherwise what's the point? (;

dry it over something that can catch the seeds as it dries...
then cut dried branches and sections about a foot long.
get a paper bag, and start whackin branches together.
there will still be plenty of seeds in the buds if it was pollenated well,. but that will give you enuff to keep you busey counting for a while

go to the dollar store and get one of the wire mesh strainer bowl thingys, get the buds bone bone dry, then start rubbing the buds back and forth on the metal mesh. The seeds and stems will stay in the mesh strainer and all the bud material and trichs will fall through into whatver you put underneath to catch it. Personally I like to make oil out of everything that passes through the mesh, its too fine too make clean hash. Makes wicked BHO tho, the type of stuff you need to sit down for before smoking.
ps, i have gone through a 3'x1'x2' styrofoam cooler full of seeded buds this way in about 2 hours. Yielded a half qp baggy of seeds.

Lot of it depends on how heavily seeded it is and whether it is worth it to try to save buds. For lightly seeded plants, I use a dental pick to pop the seeds out and save the bud. For very heavily seeded plants, I have a frame covered with window screen and just crush the dried bud over the screen ,pick up the seeds and use the trim(crushed bud and leaves) for cooking .

thanks guys ya the buds werent totally bone dry and when i was sortin and doing the crush test i noticed fully dark seeds smashed then i was like oh no there not fully dry fuck
but i got most of the seeds from one plant sittin out to dry
and i got one more plant hanging
these are sour bubblebx3 x sbbx3 f2 dunno if that would be called anything else
but ya im making a shit ton of bho i already have about 3 oz at least of popcporn buds and a trimmed full sb plant
