I dont know if you guys know or heard but Mozilla Firefox is trying to set the record for most downloads in a 24hr period. If your unfamiliar with Mozilla Firefox, it is a free web browser. Got to www.mozilla.org for your free version of FF3 and help set the Record :headbange

I just downloaded it, now testing... seems faster and really light too. It has some features I don't like, but it's soo customizable, so no worries.

No doubt that they break the record today. :joint:

no doubt... dlin' right now, thanks for the headsup.... Suprised i didnt hear about this earlier... for those that don't know, firefox is 100x better than IE...

And generally fairly easy even for computer novices.

Firefox might be better than IE for programmers, but as far as this end user is concerned, I could get by with IE4. All I need to do is look at websites, leave all the extra gadgets out of my RAM.

Thanks very much for the link and the info... Im DLing as I type. Ive recently stopped using the old version of Firefox as I cannot stand the lack of copy/paste in Firefox....Also Opera seems to run a it smoother for me unless the site isnt compatible with Opera.

Hope FF3 is a lot tighter, without all the clutter that the Firefox used to have...Give my back my copy and paste damnit!!:bashhead:

I downloaded Firefox about a year ago. It loaded web sites twice as fast IE 6. An hour later, I deleted IE from all of my computer systems. And I never looked back. Granted, IE improved itself in version 7 to where it was about as fast as Firefox, but the security holes were too numerous and I don't really see the point in using IE other than if you need Windoze updates... just d/l a pirate version of windows, and don't worry about updates.

Since adopting Firefox, I've downloaded awesome add-ons, such as Download Helper, which lets you download YouTube videos (e.g. Browndirt....adventures in growing, I had to hunt to find that damn url on youtube, it's http://www.youtube.com/user/brwndirtwarrior for those of you that don't want read through like 50 replies to find the url).

I really dig firefox. What I really like about it is the add-ons and stuff. Downthemall is awesome. Alot of times, just downloading a file through firefox will max out (for me) at 70KB/s, but I can easily hit 150-200 with Downthemall. Plus, it doesn't limit the number of files being downloaded.

Almost everyone I know loves Firefox but I just don't.

Kinda sick of all these people telling me to download FF3 and then trying to give me 100 reasons why I am a dumbass if I don't.

meh...to each their own...

IE7 works fine for me...never once runs slow or gives me any fits.
