Toxic Blue clones

Is this Genetic or a PH problem?

Clone 1

Clone 2

Grown in soilless mix, all organic.

Funny thing is, is that its only 1 leaf thats curving like that. Rest of the plant looks great.

Hey Soilgro - to be honest, that pic doesnt show much.... Based on what you said this is a single leaf showing an oddity.

I'd say ignore it.... unless the plant only has 3 leaves in which case it's a major problem

:)

If whatever you're seeing gets worse try giving us a full shot of the lady along with the leaves affected. It usually helps to read the whole plant along with trouble sign leaves.

Your ladies look exceptional to me... great work... just keep an eye on that rogue leaf and see if there's spreading. Could be a slight nute def but at this point I wouldnt fidget much with it unless it began spreading.

Thanks guys,

It looks like it is spreading slowly, i suspect it might be the Mag in the lime I have. I belive its pulverized lime type from wal-mart. Probly gonna stop using it altogether.

I only use like 1/2 cup per 10 gallons or so.

Ill give them a flush soon if it gets worse.

I think she looks fine to me. THose lower leaves never make it that long anyway. All the new growth looks good to me.

The city water that your using has a pH of 9??!!! How much lime did you add to your soil mix?

This is the most important question. What do you use to bring the pH down? If the answer is phosphoric acid you will be headed for lockout city my friend.
Your situation would be much improved if you were to use rainwater or r/o water. You can buy an r/o filter for your kitchen sink for under 100$. To be honest I don't pH anything I brew teas with ingredients similar to yours but I always use rain/snow/ or r/o water. Let me know if I can help you and I will gladly elaborate.

Yeah I know, PH of 9. its insane.

I use the PH down that you can get for fish tanks. Takes 9-11 drops per gallon to adjust.

I dont use much lime at all, much less than the recomended dose.

Whats a R/O filter? Reverse Osmosis?

well it looks like its getting worse, it has moved to the leaves on the branches. slowly but, its progressing.

So do I need Magnesium or do I need to flush out?

Im thinkin I need it, the mother plant doesnt show any Mag problems. Maby there needing it when I put them into flower, its only showing a few days after I put them into 12/12.

Epsom salts the way to go??

yes, reverse osmosis. If your water has a starting pH of 9 it likely contains alot of Ca....tooo much. You are experiencing a Lockout of Ca or Mg...phosphoric acid will make things worse. Use good water and forget the pH down.

If you're original water's pH is 9 then NO DO NOT USE EPSOM SALTS... you'll fry your ladies. Chances are good they are already being pounded by Cal/Mag due to the seriously high pH of your tap water.... do you have an EC meter? If so what is the PPM/EC of the tap water? It's gotta be some seriously hard shit.

Just take a quick trip to your local hardware store and pick up an RO filter...(3-4 chamber one)... hook it up to your sink within about 15mins and start pumping some fresh RO water in there. You'll be seriously amazed at how much easier it is to maintain (pH wise) and your plants will thank you.

Thanks guys,

I recon I will get an R/O filter,

No EC meter, I want one bad though.

No epsom salts, makes sence with the water.

Here is the same clone, 8 days of 12/12. Flowered at 7" and is now 18" tall

If you are using phosphoric acid as pH down it will precipitate calcium out solution and into a form that is unusable by plants....calcium phosphate. Ca, P, and Mg will all get locked out eventually. I have done this before myself. My water is 8.3 has 262 ppm 48 of which are Ca. If you feel you must adjust pH still use lemon juice as your pH down. R/O water at least mixed in half with your tap is the way to go IMO. That being said your plants look pretty damn good...or maybe it's hard to tell in the picks what is going on.
Peace
