150w HPS Big Question

So I have looked through this forum and have been unable to find an answer so i decided i would post it.
First my proposed setup is 2 150W HPS Floralux systems in a cab with 8 or 12 1.5 Gallon pots, (its a large dresser)

the first question is, could i veg with just these two lights?

and second, if i cant and would need something else, what would be some of my options?

but yea some people veg with hps. just dont get the light too close to the seedlings
you could also throw in a couple daylight (6500k blue spectrum) cfl's in there for good measure if you get too much stretch with just the hps

you would be better off going with a 250Watt HPS system with a CMH bulb. The CMH is better for veg and just as good as HPS for flower. Also it runs cooler and would be cheaper than buying two floraluxes.

Too many variables.

I just pulled 4.? oz from a 22x29x54 cab with 250 CMH. A single ScROGged Sativa in an 18 gallon tub. I smoked liberally along the way and water cured. Hypothetically, had I kept my hands off and jar cured, I might have pulled as much as 8 oz. An Indica would've produced even more (Sativas are fluffy buds)

would it make more sense to go with 8 1.5 Gal pots or fewer (2 or 4) larger pots?

Sounds like you're a soil guy. I've never done that indoors. Bigger pots=bigger roots=bigger plants=bigger buds. However, in limited space, limiting roots is sometimes neccessary to keep plants inside the cab. Without knowing your height limits or Indica/Sativa preferences, my first guess would be 1.5 gal is fine but, DWC guy that I am and lacking varibles, it's a guess.
