I've gotten spots similar to this before on just a blade or two. They only happened during flower and towards the end so I didn;t worry too much. Now I;ve got a mother and clone displaying the same spots. they're brown and spread pretty quick. after a day or two the brown spots are literally crispy like a dead leaf but there is a lot of green all around... it's really weird. here's some pics:

I posted this in the infirmary and haven;t gotten much help.

Please help!!!

I'm watering with the same mix I always use 1tbsp fish emulsion, 1tsp biobloom, 1/4 tsp floralicious +. Every 7 days I add 1 tsp of CalMag+ and B Vitamins. Every 30 days I add 1tsp Hydroguard. They're in soil... FFOF for the mom and a local organic blend for the clone.

i had a problem that looked like this recently,
i solved my problem by re potting into a mix with more aeration,
and using beneficial bacteria and fungi.

but i still do not know what it was, i couldn't post a picture because i haven't got a camera.

I am by no means an expert, but it looks to me like a chemical burn. Did you apply floramite, permithrin, or some other variant to your plants recently?

That's what I've been seeing on my gals. Never knew what the hell it was. If we can get a definitive answer that would be great....but for now the assumption is pH.

Good thread.

right on... thanks for the answers guys. i've never ph'd my runoff before...i'll check it out. i don;t have a meter yet... i'll get one next payday. i've been using the little liquid ph test kit. i keep my ph between 6 & 7. it's kind of hard with these drops. my tap water is ph'd at 7. i did a good flush earlier today and just mixed up some nutes that were almost at 7.

i can almost guarantee that was it... there was still a tiny bit of runoff i got to drip out of the container.. ph was between 6-6.5. how soon should everything go back to normal?

Hey bro,

you mention you use FFOF soil? You did not mention anything about perlite or any breathing medium just wondering if you use it....

thanks everyone for the input. i'm going to get a tri meter next week so i can monitor the ph more accurately. i actually didn't mix in any extra perlite with this last little bit of ffof i had. i'm going to pick up some more basement mix (coco) and use that from now on. i don't have to mix anything with it and i got the exact same results as the ffof with 30% added perlite. hmm... that's pretty interesting i'm watering all of my other clones and plants with the same nute mixture and the ones in FFOF are the ones with the issue. I'm going to go grab a bag of basement mix and transplant. the clone might be fucked but i'm picking up 3 more clones tomorrow of the same strain (mendo big bud x chemdog). I really hope I can save the mother... she's my only OG Kush mom... I have 4 other seedlings but 3 of them just popped last week and the other is only 3 weeks old....

Yes. I do believe FFOF soil seems to have gotten a bit hotter, either that or getting worse product. I used it for years for clone/seed. Now every time I do it it they all go yellow with purple stems and get lockout. I think it is so hot...and where as we used to all cut it with 30% perlite, now it 50% is nessecary, or even twice as much. Not sure how that came to be ....

Soil with no perlite gets... what i like to say as 'cloggy' no air for roots and the nutes build up so much faster...my ultimate solution is light warrior. I get those spots cause my soil (OFFOF) is heavy, cutting with a lighter soil (light warrior) AND 50% perlite seemed to eliminate the big spots. I like 50% because I am less likely to fuck it up and if I do its easy to drain and start over. All it means is less soil= more controllable feedings/nute levels. I am sure some products even work better.

Buy one of those HUGE bags of perlite from fox farm, its a lot but worth just as much as the soil IMO....(not basing of it sucking recently that is :smoke:)
