HUSHMAIL

Do you guys use hushmail?

I have read a few threads on this topic with contradictory reasults. Recentley I discovered this:

http://it.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/11/17/1823225&from=rss

in which reads:

"Apparently Hushmail has been providing information to law enforcement behind the backs of their clients. Billed as secure email because of their use of PGP, Hushmail has been turning over private keys of users to the authorities on request. 'DEA agents received three CDs which contained decrypted emails for the targets of the investigation that had been decrypted as part of a mutual legal assistance treaty between the United States and Canada. The news will be embarrassing to the company, which has made much of its ability to ensure that emails are not read by the authorities, including the FBI's Carnivore email monitoring software. Hushmail has been providing information to law enforcement behind the backs of their clients. Billed as secure email because of their use of PGP, Hushmail has been turning over private keys of users to the authorities on request. Yet another reason to use private hosting."

This was Nov of last year. Does this just mean they get canadian emails, anyone have RECENT info...

I know there is no such thing as truly anon...but sometimes its how far you make them dig. If it isn't worth the time and effort you good. Your never really 100% safe, I get it.

If it isn't worth the time and effort you good

exactly, and plus if you can use it to your advantage

LEO will use a computer to profile you or yoru conversation, but its not dynamic algorithms that know when you say "my girl" that you mean refeer.

You can use the same ambiguous language you woul duse in a hydroponics shop where there is no legal MJ

This will keep you below the radar

ill surf many places, but I wont "interact" with certain entities without eliminating my direct connection.

What about thousands of dollars worth of seed and gear orders sent to you email?

They keep that on file for a long time, many ways of computer forensics.

the only ways I can think of it

either you have a false identity and a pick up location that is anony or in false name, which since 9-11 in these parts is real real real real bad

or

you have someone who doesnt do anything wrong which is real real real real real bad

there are many relative factors, but I myself would rather drive for a few hours to get supplies

sorry about the potatos, anyway

I remember some fool on YouTube posted a "video" that was just an audio clip of himself talking, saying that there were only 3 places to get beans, and ppl should write him at his hushmail account for more info. Well a friend of a friend wrote him and never received any response. Either it was a setup or that hushmail user get himself in a heap o' trouble somehow or another. I guess another possibility is it was bull shit like most of the stuff on the internet.
