The 08 Slapstick grow

Well the sun was shining today, and i have finally found my camera! We have been moving u see, and therefore i have not had my camera, internet, plants etc. But ofc. one of the first things i did, when i arrived to my new place was to begin to plan this years grow! Im really exited to finaly have a safe place to grow!!!!

Well, safety is my key word, which might be funny to some of the more paranoid fellas out there as here i am, posting pics online... Those of u, who followed my, grow last year, might remember my streak of bad luck.... slugs, flods and thieves! Well this year its going to be different! Im going to play it safe, so im growing in my new backyard... and then not, im growing on the edges of my backyard, so that i can have co-workers and family ower withouth them expecting a thing! This ofc. is going to affect the yeald, but much better than the alternative i think. On that note, i should start with showing u the spot, where most of my weed will be growing.

So, there on my right, in betweem the fence and all the trees, is where my spot is. Yea.. a lot of trees, and i have even thinned them out quite a bit, chopped down 40% of them.. as it is my trees i can do what i want
But yea, they do make a lot of shade, so the spot is mostly going to have sun in the afternoon. But as u can see, there are fields of stuff around here, so no thives! And on that note, On with the show! As i said safety first, and may i present my new measure against weed thives:

My guard puppy! Dunno how i lived without this little thing before, i simply love that little thing He follows me where ever i go.. and though he is the sweetest thing on earth, when he grows up, he is going to look mean enough, to scare anyone who could possible be wanting to take my stuff away!... i hope, if they acktually talk with him he is just going to roll ower and make them scratch his belly..
Anyway, probably going to be a lot of pics of him in this thread... sorry about that, but i just love him.

Ill show u the stuff i have planted so far.. As my stuff is in the shade, i doubt they will have a crazy yeald, but still they should produce a few ounces each. So i plan to grow out some differnet strains this year, some that i know will make it before the cold sets in, and some ill just have to play with.

Leb27.. well a good yealder, and fast finisher... looking forward to see it up close and personal. I had 6 little plants in the beginning, but apparently, there are a few slugs in that end of the spot, and i lost a little one... thats why there is a beer can in the last pic. its my snail trap!


Now that im looking at them, i can see im not the best photograper, hope u will live. second spot is with C99 x GG. Just an evil cross, that acktually can finish here (DK) with ease. I only had a small bud of that cross last year, but it was a huge favorite, so therefore im giving them another go.

They look pretty healthy i think, so far the ones that grow fastest. Think there are 4 of these.

As u can see, the soil changes a lot every few feet here... its kinda odd.. At this spot, there is a lot of sand.. so ill have to add a lot of stuff to it...

Probably not easy to se them all 4, esp. since one was a little mutant, which i doubt he will grow out of.. the rest look nice though.

Soo... what else is there.. oh yes, i have some Danish passions, which are basically Passion nr. 1 grown here a long time.

As u can see there are only 2. And one almost died due to drought, it was strangely hot here this may.

Would have liked to have more DP, but they are a pretty easy and good strain for this climate, and therefore i have given most of those seeds to my lesser experienced friends.

The same story goes for my Royal danes, i only have 2 of those, because i gave most of my seeds away.. A little sad, as i think most of those seeds could have been put to more use here.

What u can see here is my vegetable garden, but ofc. i sneaked a couple of LR seeds in betweem some cabbage

Ok, so im not quite done planting stuff yet. I would have been but i had a visitor in our house for a while, making it impossible to plant stuff withouth that person knowing.. stupid guests!
But anyway, one day i got impatient, so i planted some more stuff, in jiffy tubes.. and because it was so hot, i thought i could sprout them in my little garden shed... well the day after, when i came to check them out, some little animal (sure it was a mouse) had been in each of my jiffys and eaten my seeds!!!

Seriously how the hell could it have known there where seeds in there?? Im sure he must have been spying on me.. though that just doesent make much sence

Oh well, i brought in the jiffys when the guest left, and planted some new seeds. ( i whent trough most of the jiffys to see if the mouse had missed the seeds but couldent find any.). though now i know i was a little wrong. The mouse must have missed some, as i have a couple of doubles now.

and some White Rhinos, apparently the mouse missed those as well, as there are doubles in one of them. the one in front is a Kali most.. dunno what that is, it was a freebie.

Unfortunatly, the mouse ate my sassy frass seeds... didnt have that many, and i used the best seeds in the first run.. now i only have crushed seeds left.. still hoping some will sprout though.. but seriously, why the hell could it not have eaten some other seeds...! oh well

Thanks guys, having a place where i can grow in peace is just heaven!! I only wish i could have started a little earlier, the past few weeks here have been extremely sunny, and the little ones probably cant fully exploit it yet... oh well better a little late than nothing at all

Wanted to show u a little extra blueberry sprout that came up during the night... its a little mutant freak... i like it

So i guess the mouse missed about half the seeds... though so far still no sassy frass sprouts.
I might try to sprout some more seeds just to make sure, though i think im getting close to overdoing it a bit already
My plan is to take clones of some of the more exotic strains which probably cant finish outdoors, and then finish them indoor... but to do that i need to insulate the garage... put down a new floor in there etc. quite a huge project. So we will see how that goes.

Anyway, im off... going to go play with strange organic firtilisers!

I love the time when u first sprout the beans... and they peak up... but then, it just takes toooo freaking long before there is any progress. I have not updated a week, and its simply because there is not anything substantial to report! But i guess no news in this case is good news... Nothing bad has happened, things are taking their sweet time.

And i guess it could have gone wrong, we had a bit of frost one of the days, didnt seem to bother my MJ, but some of my vegetables has been killed by it.

think that was supposed to grow up to be some form of squash.. oh well not going to happen this year.


The sprouts have been put outside, and has been seperated. So far they are all doing fine, though they are damn slow.

The Lowriders are acktually doing pretty well. Im not a huge fan of this strain, but i do love to see them grow... They are so much more interesting atm. than most of the other strains... for that quality alone, they are worth having in my garden every year.

hey oldsmoker glad u popped by!

Things are freaking hot here atm. and im super busy.. so there has been a few sprout casualties! I think we are talking a regular drought ... seriously, has that ever happened here? well sertanly not, at this time of the year.. for a long time anyway, we just broke the record for the most sunny may ever (since recorded history aka. 1920). Its getting to be a serious problem here where i am, im loosing trees and bushes, well and weed, and im really trying to water all that i can

Among the casualties where the blueberry freak.. rest in peace little fella... but his two sisters are doing pretty well (yes, i have desided that the freak was a male, and the to ones left are females )

closer up blueberry.. i like this one, when it was smaller it was almost completely blue, was really hoping this would last, but its already fading away.

The 5 leb27´s are doing pretty well..

But not nearly as well as the c99 x GG they are really looking healthy!

well exept the little one down in the right cornor.. whats up with u!? start growing already!

the Royal danes are also doing really well:

but for some reason, the two danish passions are not doing well at all.. and they are at the same spot as the RD´s... they are about 1/3 the size and have gotten the same treatment.. its really strange as they probably even get more light...

Just dont understand it.. The Hp´s are doing better as well, and they have the worst spot of them all...

Lowriders have all shown sex by now.. 3 males one female... oh well

When playing with these lowriders, some strange little bug attacked me, newer seen it before, looks like a little snowflake x bug cross to me.

But besides loosing a few sprouts to the heat, things are going well.. garden is blooming etc. Doubt many will look past these flowers and acktually see my secret garden:

I also had 2 guerilla grows as well, though they are now completely dead because of the drought, there was just no way i could water them... which is kinda ironic as last year, half of my guerilla drowned... go figure. must have wasted a good 100 seeds on guerilla this year, and a shitload of time... think ill just be playing in the backyeard from now on!

I also wasted alot of seeds on drowned or dried out guerilla grows, know the feelin'. Your garden looks killer though, id do anything to have similar. Nothing beats growing weed in safety, but also being able to tend and love em all the way trough growth and bloom. That is the true joy of growing

I am really happy having a place to grow in peace, but ofc worry a bit about the sun. Perhaps next year, i will grow in some pots or something, that way i would be able to move them behind the bushes if i get guests, and otherwise leave them out in the sun all day long.. but we will see how things go this year...

For those watching my disasterous 07 grow, im gonna post a pic of what im still smoking on...

Its a little bud of whats left of the Early durban from the greenhouse.. Though thieves stole about 90% of the plant, me and my buddy still ended up with 1 1/2 jar each!! Im down to my last half jar.. Anyway, the early durban has really impressed me, its a pretty strong smoke a good 7 out of 10, and flavor would be around a 7 as well. It knocks me on my ass, with a big smile on my face a good smoke for movies etc, with a long lingering taste of the summer

I wish i had some more ED beans, so i could try to get it to finish all the way, without having people stealing it.... perhaps i will find some for next year! Last night i found one little bean in one of the buds, the first one i have found so far, and probably the only one.. its quite white, so i doubt it acktually has any life in it, but just in case i have put it in a glass of water.. hoping it will sprout.

Feeling like its time for a update, but the weather is a little out of control atm... really windy, so its hard to take good pictures of the MJ. They all seem to be doing fine though, and as the weather is changing atm. there should be no more losses to the drought.

First a pic of my favorite, its still the c99 x GG. Its a little bigger than the others and just seem to look really healthy.

Funny story, one of the reasons why im hiding the MJ in the cornor/bushes is that i dont want to freak out my parents.. We had a lot of debates over the years about MJ, and somehow they dont see much difference betweem MJ and for example opium. And they are garden people, so they would probably know, or ask if they saw a huge garden full of MJ... Anyway, thats the reason why i only have the lowrider, in full sun, hiding betweem some salad looking stuff. But ofc. the other day they dropped by and where checking out the garden. My dad looked at my Lowrider and said: "is that one of those Hashplants?" i was ofc chocked, and didnt know what the hell to respond, so i said: "yea... u can tell?" he laughed a little and told me that i wouldent get anything out of it, becuase they needed a lot of heat... Ofc i opted not to show him the cornor with all my real MJ growing, and pretend i was clueless..


Anyway, since the weather is not nice enough for MJ pics, i took some pics of my fertiliser stuff.

Anyway, just wanted to show what im using... some leca for air, some organic chicken poop thats been composted, and some dolomit kalk.. white stuff, helps PH levels. Then ofc there is the blood and bone meal, the seeweed etc. But that was what i planted them in, ofc with a mix of the original soil and some compost from my own garden, which looks like this:

Its pretty dark and heavy.. dont think it has been aired properly.

Now i have started feeding them twice a week with:

Its an organic fertiliser, made of melasse seaweed and fishbones.. its not a strong fertiliser, but it has all those components that true hippi freaks say should be good to the micro something something in the ground... i dunno... im kinda new to the whole organic thing...

Well as this fertiliser is missing some stuff for veg, i have made some extra fertiliser.. its made of fresh stingy plants.. yea stingy plants.. ehm who sting a lot.. gee, im sorry i dunno what they are really called... but they hurt, are supposed to be super as fertiliser in veg. They just need to brew for a week, so ill be giving them a dose of that come sunday. here is how it looks now:

i added a bit of compost for this tea.. we will see how it goes.

Btw. i would love some comments on my choice on fertilisers.. im new to the whole organic thing.. I have yet to deside what to feed them in flower.. cant seem to find anything organic with the right N-P-K. I wanted to do bat-guano in flower, but its just not possible to get it here anymore.. not at a fair price anyway. So if anyone has suggestions they would be greatly appreciated!

It is raining here a lot... at first it was great as everything was dying.. but now its just kinda depressing... oh well, better rain now than late summer right

Its update time... Its nice to have all these pics on here.. the days i feel like nothing has happened, i can scroll 2 weeks back and see that something has acktually happened.

This will be a big update, as i was bored today and have taken a shitload of pics.

first off.. lest look at the leb27's
They are still there all 5 of them.. have started to get a little bushier, and are starting to grow a little.. perhaps its the new homemade tea.. which fui really STINKS soooo sooo bad... smell of rotten egs or something!

No clear signs of sex yet.. though i think one of the nicer looking plants where flashing me some girly bits.. hope so!

Next up is the Passion nr. 1...

All 4 are there, but for some strange reason only one of them really grows... its more than double the others.. cant see any signs of mistreatmen, so im just left to wonder why...

The same can be said about my Danish Passions... why the hell will those guys not grow for me???

It really confuses me.. perhaps the passions need more sunshine?

If we look at the HashPlants instead for a sec.

They are still getting much less light than my passions, and seem to be doing better though they have some problems as well.

HP (no problemo)

So this one has no problems, and is growing nicely, looks healthy etc. although it is the one of all of them who should be getting least light!

HP (bugs?)

This one has been looking strange for a long time, and is finally starting to grow a bit again.. think it has been attacked by something, though i go trough them almost every day, and cant find any bugs on it. Still despite that, doing better than all of my passions.

HP (slug-topped)

This one was the one that was topped really early most likely by a slug.. its finally getting back on its feet, looking better every day!
