Cloning a Female that went hermie

If one were to clone a hermi that used to be female, would all the clones continue to be hermies or would they revert back to being a female?

Thanks

Did it hermie due to genetics or environmental stress? And am I correct in thinking this is a plant that you've flowered and revegged?

how bad did it hermi on you? if you only found 1 pollen sack, then if you really need to, you might be ok with cloning it. but work on getting other plants, as u never know, it might hermi more.
if there was balls everywhere, dont clone it!

If due to genetics I'd trash it. FMB - So you're saying you can have females and have persistent light leaks during flower and they will remain 100% female with no hermie traits?

For sure......Cannabis is dioecious...having the ability to go hermaphrodite is not a given in the species

My first few grows never once had a 100% dark period. Ever.

There was always some point where they'd get light during their "dark" period. (they were kept in an area close to the bathroom. When anyone got up to go the bathroom and flicked the light on...the light hit the plants. Every night. I got up to go to work at 3am. Turned the light on-it hit the plants. Every single day.)

Not a single Hermie.

Not until I began growing "proper" did I see what a hermi was...

The thing I cant figure out about all this "light leaks cause hermies"... Wtf about outdoors... the real way cannabis was meant to be grown. No such thing as a natural 100% dark period in nature..

I've never seen one and I've been out into some remote as areas of the wilderness, regardless there is always some light at night. always.

There is light at night, but most of the time, if not in the city, that's light being reflected off of the moon. I'd be interested to see the readings from a light meter on a clear night with a full moon though, to see how much light there really is. I guess I didn't realize you could have plants that were 100% female no matter what you did to them. I just have a hard time believing that, though it's nothing personal, I'll have to look into that a little bit more. :joint:

I had the same problem.

People were breaking into my grow area and turning on the lights.

When a good female turned hermie, I would harvest most of the plant then reveg. After I reveged I would take clones. They would turn out good as long as the basterds didn't come in and turn on the freekin' lights again.

The plants seemed most sensitive during the streach phase to light changes.
