hola everybody,
I'm growing out 10 Double Strawberry Diesel, 5 ToeJam, and 4 Biddys Sister. They are in bins mixed with coco, perlite, and vermiculite, fed GH Bloom and Micro using Rez's formula with KoolBloom added in early flower. They are under 2 600watt HPS', and are at day 48 of flower.
heres a shot of most of the girls in the room:
First up the DSDs, each cola pic is a different plant so you can get a good idea of all the different phenos. The plants with the rounder buds and orange hairs are the most strawberry smelling, while the rest all have a more subtle berry/spicy smell so far. Im going to let most of these girls go a full 75- 80 days.
Next up we have the ToeJam. These girls are starting to look very promising. very sweet and skunky smelling, with lots of frost. I was very much looking forward to this cross as Cheese and Flo have both been on my radar for quite some time. These will go 70+ days as well.
And finally heres a couple shots of the biddys sisters. They are the smelliest girls in the room, very perfumey/sweet and skunky, not as many trichs as the other girls but she makes up for it in the smells department. I'll be chopping these probably around day 60.
Thanks to everyone for stopping by! i'll be updating this thread periodically now over the next month as these girls get closer and closer to chop time. Can't wait to see how they all turn out.
(edit: also just to give people an idea of my experience, this is my 4th full grow. 1st was about 5 years ago, Bogglegum and Lifesaver in soil under a 400, which despite no ventilation, crazy temps, turned out to be the best bud I have ever smoked, god I miss BOG, and boy do I wish OG was still around so I could see my pics from that run. 2nd grow was about 2 years later, same strains but under a 250, had soil problems, so yield was low and quality of the bud wasnt great. 3rd grow was my last grow (last year) in DWC and Hempy Buckets, Blubonic and Sweet Warp, you can see pics and grow diaries for this run in my sig, it came out nice, but i wasnt too impressed with the genetics, just nice a bit better than commercial bud. As you can see I constantly change my grow medium, nutes, and wattage, so I havent ever had a "dialed in" grow. Hopefully that will all change as I'm starting to feel alot more comfortable as I grow, trusting my instincts more and more, so I imagine the next couple grows, now that I have clones, nutes that I really like, and coco, will keep getting even better and better)
