Fridge (dwc?)

i have a fridge i wanna turn into a perpetual harvest stealth marijuana machine pics aint workin at the mo so will edit when they are. Total size is 5ft3 tall 19,1/2" wide and 15" deep in two chambers on top is the freezer im hoping to house bonsai mothers and clones it is only 12"x16" and 15" deep i figure 2 cfls should do im only rooting the clones in there might get them to 8"ish before they go straight 12/12 in the main fride im thinking dwc in a regular rubbermaid tub with maybe 6 plants, its 32"x17" 18" deep i plan on using one of the shelfs about 12" above the tub to scrog them im hoping to get my hands on a 250 cmh but finding it hard in oz so might just fill it with cfls 8 or 9 maybe? any ideas/advice for some one new to contained growing, always had space b4 now, but gotta be stealth parole for growing as it is "dangerous drug manufacture" shit whats that about! cheers

yeah ifigured being on parole alreadyit was either stop growing or go stealth so even if i do get raided again it aint getting caught im fixing pad locks to the doors and the excuse will be im a recovering alcoholic and the other blokes out with the keys cos i cant trust meself lol anyway any ideas as i already said im new to the limited space grows used to have bed rooms lol

Definitely cool setup. I'de throw a unit of those long straight fluoros up in the freezer. They really save space for shelf-style veg's. And then yeah, a 250 hps is what i'de run below, as long as you can rig some sort of ventilation in there. You could probably mount a little electronic ballast behind the fridge where the coils and stuff are. And I think Scrog is a good idea too. Dwc + screen + fridge = lots of nice buds for you my friend

The only issues I see is how are you going to attach your lights and everything and run power to the inside of the fridge....

Ideally you'd want to keep the functionality of the fridge to keep your plants nice an cool an yada yada... The issues with cutting wholes in a fridge/freezer is the Freon gasses inside. Now if you don't care about the usage of the fridge.. then by all means scrap it. But your gonna need to watch out for the freon gas and cut that sucker up outside so you odnt inhale anything deadly(I'm pretty sure Freons not good for ya lol)

Thats the only issue is see with a fridge, other than that... PROPS! Althought to me the idea of growing while on probation isnt the brightest but i'm not going to sit here and tell you not to. I'd love to see how this turns out for you, while still hoping you don't get caught... So in that regards... Best of luck an i'll be watching to see what you do with this puppy.

thanks im picking up supplys this afternoon ill let u know how i progress and yeah it may be stupid growing while on parole but i cant afford my habit at $25 a gram i smoke at least 1/2 oz a week minimum and after growing before im too used to blazin when + how much i want lol

LOL!!!! Awesome fridge man! My dream setup would be a chest freezer. One idea I had for a fridge was to put fluoro tubes from top to bottom in each corner. I'd use something else up top - whatever these guys recommend but yeah, those fluoros would throw a hell of a lot of coverage in there cheap enough, if you were doing larger plants, or indeed just one big plant.

I'm in oz too, and out in the sticks which doesn't help, but I had a lot of trouble finding high watt CFLs in stores. I had one guy at a specialist lighting store tell me I will not get a CFL over 30 watts in Australia. Go to Bunnings if you have one there... they have 48 watt CFLs at least.

I keep advertising Bunnings in my posts lol. I don't work there I swear.

I do but, I can't really say how much of my happiness is CMH alone. This grow was my first CMH and my first 250 watt, DWC and ScROG as well. How much credit each individual part deserves, I don't know.

thanx everyone i installed lights today and ran a female power end (extention cord) inside my freezer (veg) and have a two way adapter for pump and lights i wired 2 light sockets to a plug as well i have loads of water pumps about but only 1 air pump im defo going dwc in the fridge (flower) but not too sure about the freezer got 3 seedlings in half filled shot glasses to start the bonsai process unsure of sex and strain (bagseed) but will grow them out n re-veg the girls and kill the boys if i get 1 mother ill be happy gonna put a cloner and my mother(s) in the top and scrog using the wire shelfs and a dwc rubbermaid tub with 4 6" pots any suggestions for my cloner would be appreciated im torn between swc and wick styles

freezer with 1 light on ive ran 2 lamp sockets to a plug as you can see its in th female end of extention cord as i hope to power my pumps from this too

only a 27w cfl for now the other is a and will be pluged in later today 30w



3 seedlings in shot glasses and a bonsai tomato plant im foolin nround wiv lol

still yet to decide on a cloner but am being shoved toward swc style using just a lunchbox maybe?

totally changed the lay out of the mother/cloning room (freezer) im using a kitty litter tray for run off conected to a shallow tub with lid with the pump in atm im running 2 drippers in pots of perlite know very little about this method of hydro but figured for long life mothers being maitenence free it was the best choice as i can remove pots for pruning ect.

i have put up some drywall next to the tray to house my electrics seperately ( hopefully can supply flower chamber from up here too work in progress as they say seeds popped a coulple of days ago 2 seedlings unknown strain hope at least 1 is gonna be a mother

freezer is growin seedlings are stretching a bit gonna put the other bulb in today in such a small area im sure 57w is sufficiant im bonsaing anyway and only gonna root clones in here still havent built a cloner not sure of what to use yet still any suggestions would be great ive only got 260mm x 210mm to utilise as i have the 2 pots with drippers at the back for my mothers (hopefully) i was thinking using just a ice cream container size box and either running an airline in it or setting a pump in there to do summat maybe spray not sure would like to use my spare water pumps i have lieing around rather than buying a new air pump i already have 1 but itis reserved for the fridge/flower chamber thanks for any input

could get awat with a 250w with enough ventilation but im after something more stealth and a big noisy fan aint gonna help me so i think cfls are the way to go i plan on running 6-8 cfls in there all warm white and 2x18" uvb aquarium tubes in the back corners vertically

i just told my gal about the extra fridge in the garage.double door freezer side has abunch of shelfs/raks about 8 in apart.i figure athe 25 watters i have now work so place 1 on each shelf for clones. fridge part just a couple of moms.the freeon and how would u hook everything up electrical wise??i am going w/ a 125cmh for moms.keep me posted i have pics 2morow.peace n overgrow

update i looked in my fridge about 2 days ago and instead of 2 i now have 7! i threw some seeds straight in the perlite not germed or anything while i was smoking just picked from the mix bowl i dunno how many i put in but i now have 7 in the race for mother spot 1 & 2

had inspection today (i rent) and me daft bird left it open fuck at least the tomato is in there and also chili cuttings rooting in the perlite so hopefully got away with it lol she asked but i said tomatos and chillis and showered her my birdseye chilli plant and told her it was difficult to take cuttings from so was doing it for bhumdity and that (hope she bought it lol fuckin women heh? pretty to look at but fucking slow rofl
