i used to be a den rat then i decided to try a grow, i spent 200$ and im going to have a few lb's of bud when its all over with!















The reason I posted this here is to encourage all you Den Tokers to start a grow! its not hard and if your like before i grew i never even looked in the growing forums! GET GROWING PPL!

outdoor plants yeild huge in the past for me, i had 3 that yielded 1/2 lb each last year and only started 5 this year i started 8 outdoors so a bit more hopefully this time.

indoors im running a 400w cmh so at 1gpw thats 400 grams + whatever I get from outside lets say 4 1/2 lb plants outside thats 904g's plus 400g from indoors if all goes well, so 1304 grams= almost 3 lbs if all goes well. I don't expect 1gpw on my first grow so ill shoot for 1k grams.

I find these sorts of snobbish posts highly amusing, as I tend to hang out in the grow lounges when i have grow related material to discuss or ask, or if I am updating my grow log, although i wish i would of paid attention a bit more and put that in the grow diary section, but whatever, it can stay in indoor soil-organic, as it's what it is.

we like to hang out in the 'den when we are already sufficiently medicated, or on our way there', I already spent enough probably strait MONTHS reading and reading on the good 'ol website grow forums and the faq's, which I miss, although you can find them via google, and i still posted in the lounge back then in like '99...

Im just encouriging people to grow their own. I didn't think it was possible nor did i think I had the will or skills to do it so i said screw it and got some equipment and started growing it feels good to know im not going to be paying "the king of NY" for his bud and growing and smoking my own

haha thats the spirit! i have never grown indoors before thought i didn't have the know how or skills (or luck for that matter) and good results can came from just a little bit of light and dirt... give it a shot 9 lives a few bagseeds and a 400watter will go a long way

I've been growing something even if not in the best conditions.. almost half of my life soon..i don't post grows because im too lazy to take pics with my soapbox camera. I'll probably post something when plants get to 30 days flowering or smth...

the den is just a cool place to hang out and discuss events and ideas..

I'd love to have something going right now, but I can't. Spend plenty of time in the grow areas, plenty. Hell I've got a whole book of notes from those lounges. Aside from the diaries area not as much happens over there. Plenty of great info, but once you've read it all three times things can get a tad on the boring side. Here things are constantly changing and it's good to talk to people about something other than growing once and a while. Not to mention all the varying personalities over here. Either way looks like you have some good work on your hands. Thanks for coming to hang out with some den rats.

yea i agree after i read everything in the growers forum I always check out the old posts and then i go to diaries to check up on everyone, the i check out growroom design and equipment and see what going on over there. I love watching people grow hydro so i check out the hydro section. I got a diary in the outdoor section so i check on that once in a while some of the coolest things to me are the micro grows so i check those out when ever i see a new post. also gotta see whats going on in orgainics and the med forum- and you can't forget about security! then after all that you get to the point where you read everything so i just stopped by to post some pics n stuff i took a couple of pics of the blunt i rolled earlier today haha its a boring memorial weekend for me i guess!

exactly... norcal i didnt mean to offend brother, but the way i read your post just came off as snobish, and it implied that people in the den are not growing their own, which is a joke. However now seeing the purpose of your post, I agree, for the people that don't know about CFL's lights etc, you could do a crop from start to finish now we everything from walmart, except good soil and seeds/clones.

like frank said, lots of us HAVE SPENT OUR TIME in those forums... not on this site, but the ONE before it. We might not remember every little detail, or somethings entirely, but for the most part we can grow a plant from start to finish, harvest, dry and cure... its a great feeling, I mean its the reason everyone is here isn't it?

I don't really see why a non-grower would hang out here, besides to learn about growing...

Regarding NY, the state itself is just meh... again no offense if you are from there, one of my good friends in from LI, Buttt its just a badass movie

i was just basing it off the face that i used to just cruise the tokers den and read about random stuff not neccassarly even weed related much less grow related- about a year ago i saw a thread where somone had posted their grow accidently in the tokers den and it caught my attention since i really only read the tokers den since i didn't know how to grow.

maybe theres some other people out there who were like me that just thought it was over there head and dosn't read the grow forums- that would love to know how easy it is to save your self a lotta money save your safety without having to go to the streets to get weed and save your health by knowing exactly what you put into your plants sorry that i was snappy in my first reply to you

Yeah, once you learn damn near everything their is to know the rest of the forums WILL get repetative, some new or good info once in a blue moon. I still check out grows of interresting strains or grow styles, and continue to learn(just learned how to make a bubble cloner) but the den is cool for when Im bored and shit moven slow. Sometimes people like to discuss things other than weed with the people in the same field as them. I aint seen anybody who just hangs in the den, if there is somebody who does that its probly cuz they cant grow do to circumstances but still like to fuck with like minded individuals who iz into the culture. PeaCe!

I mainly post in the Diaries section, I have met lots of really cool people in there, that have helped me enormously in my grows. I will frequent the indoor grows area to help spread what I have learned and help who I can

Like i just said in a K message to him... this is the truth, Dog has helped me like 5 times in the past month with simple shiat for the most part that i completely forgot...I wish we could get the Grow Faq's back or start new ones... those things were my bible

Dog, I have 2 girls in flower...one of them has been in flower for like 10 days now....I tied her down the other day and am waiting for the lights cause i didn't see her yesterday . Everything has been going pretty smoothly :knocks on wood: That leaves 2 others in Veg for clones, then I still have 2 seedlings, One of these is looking so darn good its hard as hell to chop, but i dont have the room and i still have like 4 more seeds, and i didn't pay for em.

Still no PH tester, I should add that to my sig; first organic grow and first w/no PH tester. I love it... fuck PH, whats PH???

I have been hanging around the Toker's Den so long, making inane comments and bad jokes, that I really should start a grow. I would really be encouraged to do so ,but I don't know where I would put a 400W. I can't put it in the garage, because my 1000w lights take up too much space. Can't put it in the master bedroom closet, as my 1000w metal halide is in there. The family room is out, because I have my seedling tray with my CFLs are there. I could try the kitchen, but I would have to move my bubble cloner. Though I was really encouraged to start a grow, I will just have to post in the Toker's Den instead, until I can free up some space.

You better hit the grow forums a little longer my friend.

1 gpw is a guideline to shoot for with optimum growing conditions and lighting. Compact florescents aren't the optimium lights they are talking about. It's good to see you growing though.....

correct me if i am wrong JJS, but havent people been pulling much MORE than the 1 gpw with Compact lights??? Granted I hadn't actually seen it, but definetely read someone on here claimed it wasn't too hard to get 2-3. But I am doing my first start to Finish right now with CFL's...this i started about 10 days or so ago on 12/12 before that it was vegged for about a month, but they went through ALOT of stress.... I am suprised they are all so healthy:
