Opinion on Strains

It seems whenever I go the local MJ club they are all abuzz about some new strain that I have never heard of and how it is the most potent or the highest yielding.

I wondered what strain for indoor dirt everyone thought was:
Highest yielding
Most potent

From my experience I like skunk 1 for yield, and although I have not grown it Haze impressed me with it's potency.

White Russians are amazing for potency, nice lucid trippy shit but depends on when you harvest it really, like all strains.
Blue Cheese from Big Buddha is nice, but man it stiiinnkss!
Jack Herer is a nice smoke, trippy stone.
Master Kush is a wicked mellow, smooth smoke but the stoneage is enjoyable too.
Orange bud is Ok
Sensi-Star is good, strong fairly heavy-ish stone

I'm not going to slag and properly grown weed off really............

Kevin - Peoples opinions are like assholes! Everybodys got one and they usually stink! Grow your own from strains that sound interesting to you and research which ones would fit your needs. There are only about a million different choices so make the leap and go after something you are interested in. If you follow these boards and people at the clubs you will always be growing the supposed latest greatest weed on earth, if you have what they are hyping! It sounds like you already have some good ideas in mind so do the homework and simply search threads that interest you about breeds you think would fit your needs. It will give you a much better growing experience. Good luck and welcome to the boards.

Yeah, that... OR, you could realize that after MILLIONS of seeds popped over the last few decades, a few of the stand outs have been collected and shared in the community. These are the elites, the plants of rare quality, approved by many top growers, etc. I believe any newer gardener will want to start with the best they can get, and THEN start searching for new angles after they know what to look for. ;)

Now, I have grown a plant or two in my day, and have seen the best the cannabis community has to offer, from sea to shining sea, and I can tell you this... Chemdog D may be THE perfect plant for indoor cultivation purposes. Easy to grow, high yielding, superb high, awesome smell/taste, etc. I mean, if you want to start your own search for the holy grail plant, be my guest, but you might want to start with the industry stanard bests and learn what to look for before you begion your own search.

As a matter of fact, most cash cropers would agree that M39 is a great plant for yield, and I agree. However, after doing side-by-side grows of M39 and Chem D, I got rid of the legendary M39 in favor of the Chem D. The latest side-by-side had Chem D ahead of M39 by 1.7 ounces per plant! AND... Chemdog D is far danker smoke than M39. Win/win.

So, I believe my answer does your original question justice. ;) Yield and potency.

I can vouch on the M39 yields. I grew out a couple of clones from 3rd Floor in 2002 and they were the biggest yielders I've ever had. Wasn't impressed with the effects though, and since I'm not a cash cropper I didn't grow it again. But wow, 2 plants nearly filled up 2 sun tea jars!

I am a fan of the Chemdog D smoke when I can get it, sounds like I'll have to seek out a cut. Big yields are only a good thing.
