Thai Haze X Skunk 1

For germinating I always fill a small glass of water up about 2-3 inches wrap my seeds in a bit of paper towel enough to fit snuggly in the glass then put the paper towel in there and let it absorb the water and lay in it for about 5 days and they should sprout, i keep mine in a dark place.

yeah that would be fine but i wouldn't do it for too long or you'll be struggling with the stretch. try topping or scrogging them.

I moved the light up for now,they were started on January 23rd and are about 8-9"tall now. Leaves have a small amount of yellow in them,not as green as I want.Like I stated prior,they're in a Baby Bloomer Ebb n'Flow hydro kit,using organics in the res. I foliar feed 1x a day with a H2O/Hygrozyme/Epsom Salt/Supergrow Rx organic fert. solution. These are all in very dilluted concentration. I noticed substantial improvement over the past 2 days in growth and improvement in leaf color.

I also have 5 of Nirvana's 'Citral' in soil,that were started on the same day. The soil mix is 'Happy Frog Potting Mix'/Black Gold perilite/Bone Meal/Blood Meal/'Happy Frog Bat Guano'(0-5-0)/polymer crystals/'Biotone Starter Plus',mixed and allowed to sit in a lg Rubbermaid tub for 30-45days prior. They're fed w/alternating H2O/H2O2 mix and H2O/'FoxFarm Grow Big/Hygrozyme/Mollases/Guano tea(aerated 48hrs)when topsoil is dry. Same foliar feed as the thaihazexskunk#1. These plants are getting HUGE,already at least a foot tall and growing daily. I have them on supports so they are 1-1.5' beneath the 400wMH. Leaves are a deep,healthy green.

Are my thaixskunks growing slower due to the sativa genetics,or am I doing something wrong?

When should lights be lowered more to minimize stretching?

I have 5 of these beans planted so I'm only expecting 1-3 girls,so the remaining space won't get overly overgrown from them. I also have a 5pk of IceCream(fem)on their way,as well as a pack of 'Sensi's Super Skunk' and a free pack of NL#1(I plan on branching out to breeding using these beans sometime soon).

My space is 6x6x3.5 and I have 1 400wMH and a 400wHPS lighting it up.Temps are a stable 72-76degrees,RH 38-42%.Air flow is excellent and amazingly I maintain the environment at these levels year round with ZERO effort.

I plan on taking a cutting or two from each plant prior to sexing,labeling them and rooting them under floros while I wait for the plants to sex,and show me which ones from each strain I plan on using for a 'mama'.I will be purchasing another light for a seperate 'mom' and clone room.

Will i be o.k for space if I germ the Ice Cream and the superskunk immediately? I have another Baby bloomer kit that I was considering starting the Ice Creams in,and moving to the other kit at the bloom point,as each kit holds 10 pots so room shouldn't be too much of a prob(fingers crossed).

Obviously a SCROG isn't going to be too good with the varied strains,so I'll top the THxSk#1.

At what week should I do this?What week will be good to take cuttings from them as well?I've never topped my plants before so any tips or suggestions on where i could improve will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Thats a alot of Sativa genes in that srain.. Pretty equitorial.. Prob doesnt like alot of food.. Those types of Sativas will stress with to much nutes.. Go VERY LOW on them.. There are some threads around that talk about this. I think that Blubeard has alot of knowledge on this.. Maybe hell chime in...

thx....I've definitely been going light with the Haze/Skunk feedings. I have the timer for the pump set so it feeds it every 3hrs at 15min. intervals(too much/too little?)

I can only comment on what I have done personally... I have never grown in a organic hydro meduim but I know this.. I plant mine with all the food in the organic meduim.. Really peat moss and castings and guanos and only feed PH'd water and enzymes.. in flower the landrace mexicans sativas I have grown I repot and with fresh peat moss and castings and guanos at a very reduced dose and continue with only Ph'd water and enzymes.. .. Also I would go from 12/12 from start and then go to 10/14 for flower .. I bought some Original Haze seeds as well as THzexSk from Seedbay and the OTH breeder told me this as well to ensure they make it to end of flower.. That strain I have seen in some threads go over 140 days in flower.. Should be some top notch herb but a little finicky due to the haze genes.. hope this help bro..

thx.....can I wait 2 weeks more to switch to the 12/12 since thats when the 'Citral' will be ready and they're both in the same space

im sure that would be fine.. The reason for the 12/12 and then the 10/14 is becuase this is what the real seasons are like in those places thus properly inducing and finishing its flower cycle.. If not you might get stuck with a plant that stay in a veg/bloom cycle forever and will not finish properly..

I usually wait until they are 12' tall and have at least 6 nodes of growth.

Some updated pics of Sams T Haze x Skunk at 12 days flowering. They have stretched from 4" to around 14."
They have only been fed once with Flora Nova Bloom @ 1tsp/gallon and are under a 400 watt CMH.








They were on a 12/12 light schedule until yesterday at which time I changed it to 11/13. No sex showing as of yet.

i've been growing it for 3 months now (2 weeks 18/6, rest 12/12) and I have to leaen them over my WW ladies so they fit under the light, they are about 5 ft tall and tower over the WWs. They are VERY light feeders, equal parts Promix/FFOF/perlite burn them at 3 ft height. Also, the bud is real airy for having almost 2 months of flower so I do believe the will be in there for a long time

Germed 2 seeds, 2 popped, 2 ladies tho. Good shit, especially free :)

Awesome! Plant #3 is just gorgeous, looks like a bunch of bumblebees taking off. Dig those tiny slender leaves! I just got a freebie pack of these, can't wait to run them. Good job.
