Ty-Stiks May 2008 Scrog Grow

The attached photos, taken 5/10/2008, estimated harvest in about 7-10 days for the majority and some colas will be harvested over the next 5 days as they are Ready.

6 x 600W, 24 Five gallon buckets this time. I think the roots like the extra space this go around.

These are HK's again, there is one more HK grow in the veg room ready to take their place. After that DP Flo, Euphoria and finally Bubblicious will be grown with an HK mother in reserve. :jump: :jump:

I don't think you have to worry about the framing for your screens breaking

will you be posting up a few post-trim pics of the harvest?

hey hey. very nice indeed. What sort of a ballpark yield can you expect out of a 24 bucket screened setup like that?

Fast Tracks, If I don't have problems with the upload pre harvest pics will be posted.

Art of Making Fire, indeed they are happy, Me and 3 others.

Budweiser, TY for the compliments.

GirthDog, the last go around yielded 5.25 lbs for 24 girls of the same Strain, and identical growing regimen.

kalikush, to be honest, never counted them and never gave it a thought.

counted or not, thats a lot of fine ass budz you got there! The growth looks really dense, I was just trying to get an idea of how much space each shoot/cola really needs. My canopy is getting waaay crowded, may have to trim off a couple shoots but first I gotta take care of this PM problem I got!

Anyways, looking good! Got any close up shots for us? :rasta:

Hello Tystik  , I have a question for you please. I have been reading your threads about the light hood cooling. Where is a good stealth place in a residential home to draw the cool air intake? When pulling air from an intake is there noise associated with pulling in the air?

Budweiser:

I pull AND exhaust air from under the house, a sufficient distance apart that the two don't interfere with one another.

As to Noise, when ever we pull or push air there is sound associated with its movement, whether it be the fan itself, the blades "cutting" or "compressing" air as well as any harmonics caused by not using sound deadening isolators to abate vibration.

Even in a residence with central air systems there is noise associated with operation.

In commercial applications the air handling units are usually located in a mechanical room, or rooftop mounted, and the sound is far removed from the building occupants.

looks like some dank buds you got growin, and .65 gpw isn't to bad either! do you ever get any problems with uniform height in the canopy since its almost 2 feet above your pots?

Ty you Dr Kong for the compliment.

tehsmoker, the top of the 2 x 4 frame is 32 inches above the floor with a variance of an average of 6" in canopy height with the exception of a few big ass colas on steroids that pop up in a few places.

As to weight, I could have more by a number of methods, however I take it slow and easy, focusing on Quality Bud with medicinal grade THC. If I vegged longer there would be a greater yield. The only problem is that we (4 cardholders) are allowed 24 oz of finished product each, and more plants or larger plants would put us over our state law limit.

Thanks for the info Ty-Stik. One more question please because I know form looking at your room you know your stuff. If I cannot pull air from under the house what is my next best option in a residential home to pull air from? Thanks again for your knowledge.........

Digital: Never have tried "pumping" my own shat. Just patience and an understanding of something that WE all find comfort in. I will take some pics of the current clonings, being topped and stretched for scrog grow.

As always, DigitalHippy, Thank You for your continued interest.

I remain, respectfully, The "TyStik"
