i think this beautiful strain smells so much nicer than cheese.
when they named it i think they meant like "the big cheese" as in top boss!
i read it got tested in holland and it had really high terpenoid levels.

i have a thought....the exodus guys did big grows outdoor`s no???.....so they could have got a sk1 x afgani from sensi
a true f1,,, both sk1 and the afgani will have been ibl`s
is it possible?? they grew them out, did f2 f3 f4....etc... found the cheese that way....it sounds a little more likly to me
the cheese seems to be a true pheno of skunk before sam made it sweet,,,he did this because the smell used to go through brick walls!!!...sound farmillier..
is it not allmost an inbread line too???..exept this pheno was bread out??...maybe that is why all the easy cheese crosses are so good???

The Afghan in the Sk#1, not a cross..The cheese is pure and probably just a phenotype of Skunk#1 with a great combination of traits from its ancestry...Mexican, Colombian and Afghan. 
what was sensi`s sk1 back then.??.......sk1 x sk1... sk1 x afgani...?? were they both ibl??
i was saying it might be a pheno from an incross...the first incross could have been small but they had loads of free seeds for big outdoor grows...etc......= cheese??...
maybe they got a pack or two with more afgan genes in them??

the cheese wasn't any cross exodus done.
it was boringly just a skunk#1 seed straight from the packet, grown and kept going from cutting to cutting.
the make up of the skunk#1 was just Mexican, Colombian and Afghan.
obviously the skunk#1 had got quite a few years of selected breeding behind it at that stage. i think the cheese is not a good representation of the skunk#1 before sam bred it to the sweeter side because i find cheese amazingly sweet and not horrible road-kill skunk smell at all.
i would like to see what would happen if the cheese was crossed with a super horrible smelly road-kill skunk.
i agree that the smell of cheese come from the afghan side of the cross.
in the road-kill skunk lovers thread most of them agree the large smell that comes from their beloved skunk come from the indica side.
i have tried master kush that tastes almost identical to cheese but with different effects.

As far as I know UK CHEESE was selected from Skunk#1 seeds I made. They were bought from Neville, taken to the UK and CHEESE was a clone selected from the grow.
No one bred a CHEESE, it was selected from a Skunk #1 grow.
I got this from the guy who bought the seeds, took them to the UK, named it CHEESE, and the rest is history.
Also I can guarantee CHEESE is a pure Skunk #1, the first time I smelled the UK CHEESE clone I said it was pure Skunk #1, I met the grower later and he confirmed it to me.
Also I wish your LGA Cannabis Cup all the best, the more the better!
