Auto Flowering

is it ok to keep my autoflowering plants at 24 hours of light until i harvest? because im growing some papaya and sativa spirit (which arent autoflowering) and i wanted to keep the papaya and sativa spirit vegetating until i harvest my diesel ryders then flower the other 2 strains, is this possible..

can i keep the autoflowering diesel ryders at 24hrs light for there whole life????

If not will i have to give them 20/4 or 18/6.??

btw they have being doing fine on 24 hrs of light theyv started flowerin after 17 days and the stalks are strong.

12/12?

12/12?

have u heard? u need 12/12 to produce the largest yield possible! sativa or not...u need some dark during flower to produce resin glands...sticky icky!

ye but these are autoflowering... and they dont need 12/12,, they need 18/6 to produce the most amount of bud possible i was just wondering if i could give em 24 hrs of light,,,

and i know the NORMAL sativas nd indicas need 12/12 or they wont even start flowering but remember these are auto flowering...

Should do fine with 24/7, but i'd rather go with 18/6 or 20/4. The yield and smoke seems to be better with some darkness. Yer papaya and SS should not flow under 18/6. Atleast not that fast, if u just started to veg em.

ye i know im growing the autoflowering strains on 24hrs of light until they finish,, but while these are flowering the sativa n papaya will still be vegging, then when the autoflowering strain has finished i will switch to 12/12, im growing the autoflowering strain just so ive got summat to smoke while waiting for the quality strains ... PEACe...

You will only improve things by going 18/6, your non autoflowering strains will STAY in veg mode under 18/6 and your autoflower will put out a better product under 18/6

I tried growing a auto flowering plant and it did not work well. It was under 12/12.

i say try 20/4

a lot of people have said it is the best all around there have been ppl who have done side by side grows comparing 18/6 to 20/4 and the results are bigger yields and shorter finishing times.

I gather your "regular" strains are in their initial veg period. My experience (sat dom and indica dom...supposedly) has led me think that it is both a function of photoperiod and plant age. Add to that super intense, complete spectrum light and...
Tell us about your light please.
Regardless: don't use 24/0.

I have contemplated doing 6/6/6/6 from seed, under intense HID light in an attempt to age a plant super quickly and thus sex it. That is about the only use for 6/6/6/6 which I can think of. Now I need to rig up a 6/6/6/6 chamber in my Mendelbox. Just look what you made me do. Damb you internet. My theory on this is...digression...Satori just fails to appreciate 12/12 from seed. 2 weeks veg, all they ask. On the other hand. 12/12 from clone is giving me a nice 10 inch cola-plant that fits my growbox quite nicely. So: take a regular strain (not autoflower), veg them from sprout with 24/0 for 2 weeks. Then, once they have enough leaves that they really can chemically start their biological clock: you slam them into 6/6/6/6. Now, it is my theory that it is the amount of chemical activity in the leaves more than the hours of daylight. You need a CMH and it must be close. Just imagine sexing your plants in half the time. Once flowering begins in earnest, I would just put them back into a 12/12 chamber.

your autoflowerers will do better under 18/6 or 20/4 than anything else. Under 18/6 and 9 female autoflowerers i got 232g dry under a 400w see diary.
