I just left my local grow store and was talking about some nute issues I'm having with my girls. I am having burn or deficency problems even though I have been using Advanced Nutrients online calculator at medium to low feeding schedule. He is saying my problems arnt due to nute issues but to my tap water even though my pH is about where it needs to be. He was telling me I need to purchase one of his reverse osmosis products and AN's Revive before my problems would go away. By the way, my tap waters ppm is around 400. Any advice guys?

I am growing soil. Havnt checked ppm after adding nutes yet because I have been flushing the past couple of feedings.

Yes 400ppm is a bit high for tap water.
Also tap water has chlorine in it, which isn't good for soil.
Try using bottled water for a bit, and see if that dosen't help.
I'm lucky i have one of those water vending machines right across
the street, cost .30 cents a gallon.
If you see improvment with the bootled water then hydro guy is right
and you might want to purchase a RO unit.
But i wouldn't buy it from the hydro store, too expensive, go to ebay and
look around, your bound to find one a bit cheaper.

Try filling up a large bucket with water leave it out uncovered for 24 hours, check your PPm and ph again

Dr. Dog is spot on. I have hard water that will calcify the faucets if you let it build up. Get your water the day before and use a cheap wally world air pump designed for a cheap wally world aquirum.

Before I started doing this i could not get to week 3 of flowering problem free, I blamed PH, nute burn, heat burn, and everything else you can trick yourself into believing is wrong with your plants.

A lot of times the hard problems have the easy answers. :bashhead: Thats how I always feel after figuring it out

I've never fed plants with straight tap water without letting it sit out atleast a day or two. I will try reverse osmosis water and see what comes of it but I just read another thread about Advanced Nutrients Big Bud not working when using tap water.

Also wanted to know your thoughts on AN's Revive. Anyone have any experience with this product? I am in the middle of flower right now and dont want to risk hermies or anything else.
