Inline shut off valves?

I bought some inline shut off valves from my local hydro store. They are junk, 5 of the 8 leak. The valve itself leaks, not at the barb/hose connection. They have an NGW logo on top of the valve.

Anyone know of a place to get quality, 3/4" shut off valves with barbs?

They will be used on the return lines of an 8 bucket, recirculating DWC. I plan on using quick disconnects too. That way I can remove buckets for easy cleaning.

if not the depot or lowes then a plumbing supply in your area or online or perhaps a hardware store, perhaps even an HVAC store. :bashhead:

i dont see the barbed ones at the hardware store. they have the ones that the hose slides into. slightly more $. but work fine. dont go to ace $4.49 :spank:
save a buck at depot or lowes. :rasta:

You made sure water was flowing in the right direction right? They have a little arrow on them. However I have a bunch and about 2/5 are junk so they get the thumbs down IMO.

All made in China so you know the quality is great!! i had the same probelm setting up my buckets and tthey were the only connections that leaked. Finally went down to the Hemp Depot and got the PVC version. Worked like a charm and still got that quality Chinese product!!

I went to Home Depot to pick up some PVC shut off valves, but I couldn't find any type of 3/4" barb connector. They had plenty of 1/2" barb connectors, but nothing in 3/4".

I ended up going with the 3/4" shut off valves from BGH. They look similar to the NGW valves I have, but they are from a different manufacturer. I ended up getting their 3/4" bulkhead fittings and quick disconnects too.

Anyone know where to pick up some type of 3/4" barb connector, without ordering online? I need a store I could just walk in and buy them. Either NPT x barb or slip x barb would work. Just in case the valves from BGH leak.

Maybe something like this:

I bought 2 of those shitty 3/4" NGW shut-off valves. They both leak terribly. Any way to fix them or know of a cheap replacement? This is the only leak problem I have that's holding me back from starting my new op :(

:thinking:if you go to the home depot, you can get the threaded 3/4 in.shut offs and then go to where they keep the brass fittings, they have 3/4 in.threaded/barbed fittings that work with those valves(also in the plumbing dept.)
