I wasn't watching closely enough close to harvest, and one plant that showed some PM signs earlier exploded with PM when I choped. It was probably bad messing with that crap, but thats over and its cut.

I'm not going to smoke it, but I really dont want to lose 1oz of my 2oz harvest. Would making edibles/tinctures be ok? I would blow off the buds outside before I did anything, but is eating some mold spores bad after its been cooked?

unless you have a compromised immune system, I wouldn't worry about eating a little PM. Think about commercially grown crops. I'm willing to bet that most of our food supply has a detecable amounts of fungi, bacteria, bug parts, dirt etc etc. I bet the same for organically grown food as well, just less manmade residues.

I had minor PM and used those flowers to make a tincture. The herb gets heated to about 300f and then soaked in 100 proof alcohol for a week +. I doubt anything lived.

That's my $.02

Yeah fuck that safety shit. it is only your health at stake. Throw the crap away, and learn from the experience. Russian roulette is out of vouge.

Soak for 12 hours in cool water or until the water looks like tea. This will pull out most contaminants as most mold and sugar/starches are water soluble therefore reducing your risk. No need to dry after the rinse. This will decrease the volume a bit and in tern increase the intensity of the THC to volume ratio. You are going to cook the crap out of this not suck on the buds... hehehe :smoke:

Doing a tincture should be reasonably safe -I would not smoke it though. Mold spores are pretty resistant to heat but heat/alchohol in combination should be OK.

Who knows what we´ve been smoking in the bag weed we´ve bought...scary thought...
