My first successful grow from seed

hows everyone doin ?
I've been a member of IC forum for about a year.I really love the fact that i can interact with with so many like-minded caretakers of the sacred herb.For the longest time my comp. wouldnt let me post pics but i finally can.
here's some pics of the first plants i ever grew.




these were some clones i cut from a friends outdoor bag seed plants

these next pics were from my 2nd or 3rd attempt from seed, before i realized the importance of a stable PH.Not having a correct PH was holding me back,that and a bunch of other kinks i had to work out.

in all there stunted glory,dont ya just feel sorry for them?






these were about 2.5 mths old

once i switched to soilless mix from organic soil and got a better understanding of PH things were lookin' up

of all the hobbies i've had, growing cannabis is by far the most fulfilling.I usually try something for a while and then get bored, but watching marijuana grow and bloom is fantistic.I find myself staring at my plants for hours at a time.I like to think of growing as a science in itself.I've visited and joined many other grow forums but i like this one the best.I think there's alot you can learn from reading other growers grow diaeries and threads.it's definately nice to see that so many others are as captivated by growing as i am.
O.K. so its not that i'm not greatful for the way my grow went,but i definately need to focus on yield increasing techniques.

my flowering tent definately has good ventilation.
I used 1 400wt. HPS W/ a batwing reflector covering an area of 6FT. by 4ft. so for the amount of lumens per square ft. I guess i did O.K.
about half way through flowering i added a 150wt. HQI metal halide from one of my saltwater tanks (if anyone wants to see pics from my other hobbie let me know.I knew the lighting was innificient so i tried to boost it a little.

things are looking good for my next grow as i've just ordered another 400wt. HPS W/ air cooled reflector and a Co2 dispersal system.

the pro-mix i've been using has been working out we'll so i think i'll keep doing what im doing "drain to waste about 20-30% run-off.
I've been feeding everytime the mix begins to dry 3-5 days W/ 1/2 the recomended dose of GH flora series nutes., w/a flush every 3-4 wks.

All H2O and NPK are hand watered.
If you guy's could steer me in the right direction with a good nutrient program,all advice would be apprec.
what are some really good nutes i could use on pro-mix to get a heavier yield?
all ive been using is GH flora 3 pt. hydro nutes and liquid kool-bloom right toward the end of flowering.
I've been using 1/8 tsp. superthrive per gal. W/ the nutes during feedings. there are a bunch of little improv. i'm gonna make to increase yield and with double the light i've been using and Co2 enrichment,the clones i took from my mother plants should yield more than the plants i grew from seed.


any input from you guys would be awsome.
anyways, W/ my first success i had no bugs,no mould, no temp fluct. so w/ an increse in yield i'll be blessed.

I'll keep the pics commin' as my next grow progresses, so those of you i havent put to sleep W/ my ramblin' keep an eye on my thread.

the kali is great nite-time smoke and has a really deep indian hash taste. To me it kinda tastes like hashberry.It was easy to grow and yielded good considering the amount of light i used.Give it a shot, im sure you'll be happy W/ it.

I totally get your post on growing as a hobby i stare at my girls for hours and instantly get sad when the lights go out

Reef tanks are awesome. I hope to own one someday. I know this isn't the right forum for it, but if you ever create a gallery for your bud pics throw some reef pics in there also.

Growing indoor bud and growing a reef involves so much of the same aspects. (MH lights, good PH, clean water, planning, set up, ect. ect. They go hand in hand almost. Not to mention you can get heavily medicated from homegrown bud and stare into a living underwater environment that you created and grew.
