Size Of Air Pump Per Bucket ~DWC~

i ordered the smaller alita al-6 to see if it will pump enough for 8 buckets
10L/minute
my al-40 seems to run a little warm
pumping warm air into buckets is no buenno
i think it might be because i don't have enough air stones and i'm not bleeding off excess air
hopefully al-6 runs 8 buckets

If I'm correct then your unit puts out 48 lpm (about 760 gph) @ a cost of 199.00. Check this unit out...

it put's out 600 gph and is only $37.95!! I'll bet this unit is alot louder than the alita al40 though.

Thats the 18watt pump, i use the Ecoplus commercial 5 pump its 80 watts and i think 88liters per minute, I use 1 for every 10 buckets, prolly over kill but it's doing the job.

these pumps are noisy but you can quite them down by hanging them from a rubber cord

Well guess who got their economic stimulus check today!!! What a nice little suprise to find in the old mail box!!! Couldn't help but go and contribute to the economy so i picked up the Ecoplus commercial - 3! 35 watts and 60 liters per minute. Prolly way overkill but now I can jump to 10-12 buckets no problem. Anyone else using this unit?

I use an Alita 40 and if I think it,s pumpin.,too much I just bleed off some air from the the 12 way manifold.These pumps will last a life time and it,s hard to hear them running.Also use two Gast 80 pumps for an experimental project.Those ones could run a few hundred buckets....Linear pumps are the way to go...can,t believe how quiet they run....
I picked up the Alita on Ebay for $90 brand new..

Bucket with new pump goin. Great flow but this thing is loud and shakes the room!!



Root growth one week in with old pump. We will see what the new pump does to boost growth.

i have a ton of bubbles but at the same time theres so much pressure that it makes like a lil wave inside my bucket aswell, anyone know if this is bad?

Asher1er - From what I have gathered their is no ceiling on how much o2 you can give the plants. There is a formula that Blazone uses but that is way over my head sooo. I have a nice little wave goin too from all the churning but I don't see how that could be bad.
