I am a strong supporter of LEGAL immigrants. Illegal immigrants makes my blood boil. they are paying these people, usually under the table without any sort of Taxing or SS. it seems the rest of us need to deal with a world of TaX and SS, while others do not. many of the businesses that hire these illegal workers are making millions of dollars while the common american is out of work because they cant like on 3$ per hour. I know in a few states of america, the state made it a crime to hire illegal workers. supposedly, the whole illegal population moved out over night to find work in other states. people tell me they can find jobs now because of this law.

when will Texas make it a crime to hire illegal workers?

ps, i dont mean to sound like an asshole but there are starving americans resorting to hard drugs and crime. is this what the founding fathers had in mind for a free country?
welcome to america where capitalism is a bonnafide culture!!! go hard or go home, make that money!!

to me texas is like whores asshole that loves getting fisted. . . just a wide open space of nothing, and anyplace that produces the likes of bush should go through a period of gentrification.

i lived there for a while, too much BS, especially on the racism side of things

I went to Texas last spring and damnit I was going to hate it if it killed me yet to my surprise I found the area about 30-50miles west of Austin to be surprisingly green and I could see a thousand hidden ranches chock full of dope.I was actually immpressed by its beauty and growing oppurtunities, but sometimes things are not as they appear.I'm from New Mex so I've had to go along way to make a dollar before .Texas didn't seem the worst by far.Dollars and women will run a man in circles.Good luck.Chaco :joint: :joint:

I lived in Texas for about 2.5 years....southeast side of houston.

Worked for awhile in the Shell refinery doing industrial sandblasting and painting.
You can have all that shit. Working in the oil field can be quite lucrative...though.

As far as the fishing goes.... Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Blue Catfish, Walleye, Perch (sunfish, bream, bluegill etc) White and Black Crappie, Striped Bass, Opelousas catfish (flathead) Garfish and others I can't remember.

LOTS of freshwater fish to be had depending on where you choose to fish. Different species of fish are stocked in different areas of Texas. For example.... Squaw Creek Reservoir near FW, actually has walleye and smallmouth in it. I know you like walleye filets!! In east texas, Toledo Bend has stripers, crappie etc. but no walleye and smallmouth. Lake Fork has some tremendous Largemouth Bass caught every year. If you don't already have a boat, maybe rent one or buy a small aluminum boat when you get down there. The lakes and impoundments are rather large, and you will definately increase your chances in a boat.

Lots of good places to fish in texas, but that's just freshwater. If you can ever find the time to make it down to the gulf, an offshore trip is something definately worth doing.

Move down, work your ass off and make the money to pay off your property and spend your off time fishing..... Until you just can't stand it anymore, then bounce back to AK...where your heart really is. Nothing wrong with that.

Just like anywhere else, the cops can be real dicks in Texas.

Oh yeah.....you might want to brush up on your spanish as well.....

Comprende amigo?

Good Luck....and keep us posted!

Texas is wonderful. I was born & raised in DFW. Lived in Cedar Hill most of my life(about 20-30 minutes north of cleburne, straight up hwy 67). I miss it just about every day. There's a huge difference between the city & country though. I mean, the city still has a little "Texas" feel to it, Fort Worth alot more so than Dallas. My parents live about 5 miles due north of Fort Worth right now. I miss Whataburger & Dairy Queen. In about 5 years I plan to move back and buy 10-15 acres in east texas. Fucking cheap compared to the land out here (Guam..I moved here with my old lady..she's from here). Out here, you'll be lucky to see an acre for less than $50,000. Most of it will go for upwards of $100k. In www.landsoftexas.com you can find 10 acres all day for $20-30k.

Long story short, there's ALOT of room in Texas to remain a misanthropic backwoods recluse. I think we invented those, actually.

sup man-first, congrats on having, like, three threads going at once and not getting them locked! some kinda record for you, no? lol
i lived in western texas for a bit, so i cant speak to where you are looking to move to, but i can tell you that out in the woods,(or deserts) the attitudes of the people are similar to those back home. local pride is prevelant around texas just like alaska. maybe size does matter! the mixing of cultures(legal ones) has blended into a spirit that i found appealing. I hope you enjoy your stay there. its easier to find the good things in an area when pleasing people and making friends are not your priority! :rasta:
keep the grow on the down low-i know texas is likely to strap you in the chair for it.

a very wise man once said the only thing wrong with Texas are Texans.

I agree; they fucking suck.

Other than that, as long as you're a white male texas is really mellow. The chances of your indoor getting busted are basically zero, since TX has one of the strictest castle doctrine laws regarding personal property.

You're allowed to protect business, residence, and most recently delegated to automobiles, with lethal force. Yes, you read that correctly. Lethal force. While this sounds a bit crazy, it actually cuts down gun crime quite a bit, plus it really makes criminals think twice about trespassing/stealing etc.

Knowing the little that i do about you from reading the past year or so, you'll enjoy the hell out of it (if you can get over the heat). Think alaska civil liberties (again if you're a white male) with southern weather.

If you have kids I hear the schools are decent in Texas. One of the first things small schoolchildren in Texas learn is how to compose a simple declarative sentence without the word "SHIT" in it.

I havent posted lately on this website because all the Racism I see on hear is absurd.. I am from Texas and live in the Dallas Area. I am also from a Illegal Mexican Immigrant Family. I am a Born US Citizen and Fought in the Iraqi war to protect all of you and allow you to sleep comfortably at night in your cozy beds.

I cant believe all the racial slurs on here. Texas is a ok state, we do have immagration problems, and alot of people do take advantage of the Illegalls by paying them next to nothing, But you guys are taking this out of had. Is it so difficult to make your point accross without offending other people that read these forums to be educated.. ?

The reasons that Mexican migrate to the US is because Mexico is a country thats economy is sucked dry by Drug Lords that are harbored by the Mexican Goverment.. Is it so wrong to want a better life for your families? Maybe the fact that someone will work for $3/hour should humble you knowing that there is a family somewhere that must survive on that income instead of draw ridicule.

And I think that we forget that unless you have 100% Native American blood, everyone i this country at one point was a immigrant of Ireland, UK, Africa, Italy, and so on and so on...

Oh and Texas is not all bad.. Cities police Departments here worry more about Meth and Coce than growers.. Smaller outer rural cities have Sheriffs that get a hard on with just a roach so If I was to grow Id stay in the City.. Not the Burbs..

Guys please be more respectful.. This is a cannabis forum.. Not a Immagration one..

Born there, raised there, and have lived there obviously. Texas ain't bad and has it's ups and downs like any other state. I agree there is too much racism towards immagrants but mexican people are some of the most humble people i've met. They certainly can't drive worth a crap but that goes for a good majority of the population. I didn't lose my job to an immagrant........I LOST MINE TO A CHINAMAN PAID A BOWL OF RICE A DAY seriously

Because after you turn a certain age you can't just hit your parents up for money like its nothing even if they have a lot of it. plus it seems like there already helping him out with a job and i bet i can speak for yukon when i say i know he would rather work for the money and earn it and pay off his land himself instead of his parents paying it off for him.

anyway, hope you get your land paid off yuk. i'm looking for my own piece of land soon so i can just pay it off and once i do ill live out my days doing whatever the fuk i want. try and make the best of texas i guess. i know you don't give a shit, just like me. were plenty used to those self imposed hardships that after awhile you realize its just a part of life.
time to smoke a joint for hard workin, and hard livin... :joint:
