When it about to rain run out there and trow hand fulls a nitrogen down the rows, Corn is very easy to grow but it takes up a lot of nitrogen.

My relatively small porch somewhat limits my garden size but I'm running tomatoes, chilies, poppies, and tobacco (nicotiana rustica, shamans tobacco, not nicotiana tabacum, cig tobacco). Just put the seeds in the plug trays a few days ago so I'm not yet seeing activity. Should have started the tomatoes a month ago but what the hell....

Peace.

Nice shots, I really want to start growing my own vegetables. I'm so tired of eating genetically engineered fruits and veggies.

not many pics but...

not many pics but...

besides the obvious below.

i grow onions, cucumbers, cantoloupe, watermelon, squash, tomatoes, and peppers.

i also have a decent herb garden with chives, basil, rosemary, pineapple sage, parsley, and there are a few purple asperagus out there too.

i have a few fruit trees too. oranges, grapefruits, paraquats, pears, and lemons. this year i want to get a lime tree and some tangelos.

next year i hope to be independent from the prdouce section at the supermarket. trying to build a greenhouse this summer so i can harvest further into the season.

i got a few of these as well...

I can't even keep a house plant alive for more then a week, my wife won't let me near them, I burnt holes in my lawn last year because I over fertilized, but for some reason, I can grow weed, go figure.

thanks Georgia Green! I will give it a try. I hope to have 'em in the dirt Saturday at the latest.
Swampdank-how old are those babies you've got there? I've been searching for that for some time.

well, who told you about the fertilizer? an amazing grass growing community(no pun intended) or a pushy salesman at the big box hardware store?

we here at this wondrous grass growing community(again, no pun, but different meaning) take it upon ourselves nto to let our fellow growers be brown thumbs, although there are quite a few brown nosers....

lol, neither, it was my fault. I had bought a new spreader and it was late in the evening, I could see well enough and thought it wasn't throwing enough so I opened it up, it wasn't until the brown spots came through on the lawn that I saw how much I had put on the lawn. I can still see some here and there but the lawn looks great this year!....except for a few spots.

Hey everybody, absolutely beautiful pics.

Swamp, I have a pop up greenhouse and I can grow veggies 11 months out of the year. They really are a great addition and really come in use
