superthrive takes quite a beating in the organics section, ( all my nutes are organic except for superthrive ) but i guess that is to be expected.

what i want is an opinion of superthrive not biased by preference for organics.

thank you

I currently use, but it is/was a 1 time thing. Really could not tell a huge difference either way. I'm soiless using a peat base. Clones seemed to go a wee bit faster, but again no big change from what I had been doing for years.

I'm not going to vote, but I also will not be buying anymore. My 2cents.

Your missing one of the best questions regarding the use of ST and that is in regards to transplanting. I have done side by side, clones with it and it works wonders. It is the only time I use it though.

superthirve is not organic but there is nothing in it, to my knowledge, that will harm your organic environment. so it should be more than safe to use. if you don't want to use superthrive use thrive alive its the same thing just completely organic. i believe they are made by the same people.

I never noticed a difference in either vegetative phase or flowering phase.....

However, i agree with greenisgold about the transplanting phase.....because i believe the main ingredients in superthrive are vitamin B complexes, it is very useful for transplanting rootbound plants and clones into larger pots....i have noticed a difference in transplanting with this product vs. plain water, but in all honesty i have switched to "thrive alive" organic B-vitamin products.....

When you see pictures of giant vegetables on the label and the "developed by government laboratories" or whatever, that is a good indication that the product is more hype than substance.....

I voted "Satans tool" :)

However, I don't think it is that bad. I would nopt, and do not use it. It's too easy to overdo something like Superthrive. That and I have not found a real need to use it. I transplant probabaly more than most do but never felt a need to use SuperThrive in the process.

I'm an old fart from the old school of thought that "Less is usually more" when it comes to things like Superthrive.

However, if it works for you, who am I to criticize?

Actually while superthrive has b1 the clear active ingredient is a rooting hormone naa....

While iba is generally been shown to be more effective than naa.... naa is effective....

this is why at transplant superthrive may do some good.....

By the way superthrives packaging was grandfathered in.....

this is the reason that superthrive pacakaging looks like its from the 50's because it is.....

you will not see superthrives formula change for example to contain ferts....

because then they would not be covered by the grandfather clause with the epa.....

I believe that superthrive has been around since about the 40's....

I would love to read any university studies that actually prove how well it works......

My favorite thing about superthrive is the 50 Biousables......

wtf is a biousable????

I like ST for transplanting and cloning roots seem to reach the bottom of the cubes and pots a little bit faster.

Dr Thompson Has a team of growers ready to take on ANYONE for the 5,000 Bucks ....they have NEVER been beat Since 1940 "Good Luck" I tried for 4 years......lol

Come home to a FAILED exhaust fan 2 days B4 flowering.....all your girls are wilted and the Sensors tell You the Max temp was 115Degrees for 3 hours Oh shit!!!!
At that point......if the plants have received 1 DROP per gallon of Thrive...every time they were watered they will recover in less then 2 hours...and flowering goes on as scheduled

If they have not well you are now lookin fer a bunch of cuts real fast
*This applies to any "Commercial Garden" Roses , Carnations , Lilies , Cannabis Etc.*
it is a Hormone (Several) it is effective in very small amounts

I would be interested in seeing the patent....
and likely we could say it used to be patented but it has expired....

I also notice that they talk about disneyland....

opened in the early 50's....

MOst of what those folks talk about is baloney.....

university studies would be a good source of info....

Because of the epa exemption they do not have to prove any of the claims made on the old packaging.....

If the product contained multiple hormones they like naa would appear on the label......

As far as Baloney.....why does EVERY major Greenhouse in the Country Buy Thrive in 55 gallon barrels?.....Cuz it works..........lol

I am pretty sure DrBudGreengenes knows what he is talking about. I have heard of its use for heat stress a few times before when chatting with the guys from my local hydro shop. Very informative DrBudGreengenes, I love you cfl thread. Thanks for your input!
