Seems to be a thread going for everything!

I've started one on my other 2 favourite pass times (ganja and Reggae)
so I thought why not go for all 3...

I think MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is the ULTIMATE sport! Theres nothing else that will test your mind body and soul to the same extent! I've seen the hugest strongest guys get beaten to a pulp by dudes half their size! Boxing is alright, but what are you gonna do when he's on top of you attemting to snap your arm??!! Its brains its brawn, its speed, its precision, its endurance, its power! Its Perfect!

UFC's gettin a little WWF, but I hope Dana keeps it in check! Pride is a whole other level! Rampage Jackson is King of every cage!

I love everything about it! Im sure theres a few of us out there

Anyone else excited to watch GSP and Serra on the 19th? Any fighters amongst us?

I have been a fan for YEARS now.....back from ufc 1 and 2 with gracie/shamrock.

My favorite fighters are Bas,GSP,Jackson,Wanderlei silva surprisingly,and Cro-cop

Fedor is over-rated and sheltered,he needs to fight couture and quit being a bitch.

Man, I love UFC and Pride. I agree with you completely about it being the ultimate sport. Nothing can compare, it's just two guy's competing with each other with nothing but their bodies and minds.

geminibud Brock Lesnar might be an awesome force if he keeps training and gets more of an idea of what to do on the ground and not step right into leg locks. :smile:

edit: btw, one of my fav. endings is scott smith vs pete sell. smith gets jabbed hard in the kidney and looks like he's really hurt and when sell charges in, smith has enough left for one killer ko punch. awesome!@#!@# u can probably find that fight online somewhere.

I gotta say I am impressed with nate diaz skills on the ground. He is freaking gumby. Secondly, whoever said fedor would lose to couture haha that is funny. I guess he has a chance but I dont see it happening. My faves are cro-cop and arlovski. both have looked disappointing as of late though but they are still my faves. My new fave is nate diaz all I can say is GUMBY!

you should go back and watch some of the original ufc's (like 1-5) and see what the sport originated from

and check out a fight between gary goodridge and paul herrera (ufc 8) dont blink, trust me

For SURE Serra's gonna pay dearly for last year... I actually feel bad for him, he knows he's a Dead Man Walking... I definately respect him for what he did tho... You DONT let your oppnent breathe!! It dont matter if he slips, or trips or gets a poke in the eye... You Beat his ass until the ref stops you! Thats what he did, and thats why he won!

I've wanted such good things for Arlovski and Cro Cop too... I dont know wats goin on with them... Cro Cop found out what its like to get one of his kicks and nearly lost his leg in the process... that was one NASTY KO!!!

Anyone catch Melvin Guillards body shot KO back in UFC 63? One right hand to the belly and dude was OUT COLD IN LA LA LAND! Looked like homeboys Liver exploded or something! A BODY SHOT!! Crazy!

Vanderlei Silva (question is it Wanderlei or Vanderlei?) is definately one of my fav's too... I would shit my pants on the spot if he ever gave me one of those stare downs he does

OH MOST DEFINATELY Raven!!! The Jaw?!?!? DAMN, thats gonna be messed up for YEARS! I could feel it coming tho...Homeboy didnt look ready at ALL!

I like the new twist to the show, Im sure Dana was sick of cowards walkin off bc of their girlfriends back at home, so he made them fight to get IN the house in the first place! Great idea!

Carefull tho, I get those TUF episodes in England about a week after you USA guys, so Im thinkin we gotta be carefull with the spoilers for recent fights...

How about To give everyone who is interested in a particular fight or TUF episode the chance to watch it before its ruined, we agree not to discuss the outcome of recent fights within 2 weeks after the fight date?

Or as an alternative, if your post is discussing a particular fight outcome, you put 'spoiler alert' and the fite and date in the title of your post...ie my title on sunday morning will be:

'SPOILER ALERT GSP VS MATT SERRA APRIL 19TH SPOILER ALERT'

And then in the post I talk about each and every way GSP stomped all over that fat punk!

or for the TUF episodes

'SPOILER ALERT TUF 7, Fighters names and maybe the episode # SPOILER ALERT'

That way if we come here, or a new person joins the thread before they see the fight, it isnt ruined u kno?

Im always up to date anyways and pay the 40 bucks to watch it on pay per view (ya... I kno...) so Im not really worried, but I thought I would ask to see how you guys feel about it

I definately liked Silva and Chuck, but I was much more impressed when Rampage destroyed Chucks over confident, one dimensional celebrity Ass, not once but TWICE!!! Never liked Chuck...never saw the hooplah... he took easy fights if u ask me... Only impressive win from Chuck was his Steel Baseball Bat of a kick to Babaloo's face! That one was serious!

I also never liked Matt Hughes, but he is DEFINATELY THE BEST middle weight Champ ever if u ask me! Did you see him and BJ? Or him and Frank Trigg 2? Explain to me how he didnt pass out from those chokes?!?!?!? As good as GSP is and as much as I like him, I dont think he will have the carreer that Hughes did...

Speaking of TUF...Jackson VS Forrest?!?!...Who in the Hell put that fight together?!?!? Its Carreer Suicide for either of them... Jackson has nothing to gain, and everything to loose if Forrest miraculously pulls out a win...It would be a HUGE win for forrest, But after he starts cryin again in the ring, no ones gonna wanna watch him fight... always been a UFC fan ever since i was a kid rentin UFC vids at jumbo video , i used to love to watch Tank Abbat fight , either he knocked them out in the first round , or he was done lol. Cant wait to watch the UFC fight in montreal , my local bar orders all the UFC fights always pretty wild.

i honestly see forrest winning that fight. i know rampage is a tough bastard, but forrest seems to be a "miracle boy" kinda like serra. Both claimed victory from what the fans saw as "eminent defeat". when forrest took out shogun....it made my head turn. the kid knows what hes doing and i wouldnt be surprised to see rampage get submitted in this fight. im not trying to stir up a beehive, its just how i see it


on another note, Spike TV is replaying the wandy v chuck fight tonight before the new episode of TUF7. If any of you guys and gals missed it live, check it out....

Emelienenko Fedor is the best fighter PERIOD. If you disagree you are wrong, it is an absolute fact. Randy vs Fedor will be a good fight I'm sure but Fedor will win, he is just a better fighter. It isn't bandwagoning, it isn't me nut hanging, he's just the best fighter in the world that currently fights professionally and competitively. It is not an argument, the topic is not open for debate.
I don't see anybody that is currently an MMA fighter being able to defeat him.

fedor is good, but as of late i feel that he has been dodging top level competition. why fight hong man cho, a freak show, when you have guys like randy couture looking to take a shot at him. when was his last fight against top level competition? Aug. 28, 2005 vs CroCop. thats almost 3 years without facing any top ten ranked fighters. And he is still supposed to be the best in the world? Sounds kinda flaky to me man...

Randy is definately a toss up. I didnt think he would get the belt from Chuck when he did... I didnt think he would get it from Silvia either... and I definately didnt think he would be able to defend it... But hes surprised me in a lot of times

Im seein a trend in the Pride guys coming over to UFC where they are loosin and loosin pretty bad I think... Cro Cop...Silva... Henderson.... These guys should be poundin on the UFC guys....

I think aside from the pressure its the change in the rules, like the fact that you cant kick on the ground.... I think it makes them have to control themselves and THINK too much.... I hope they get over it.

Does Henderson still have both belts? I havent seen a pride fight in a minute
