Oprah+mind control= the new Jim Jones?

After many years, I caught an episode of Oprah. i was shocked how the athmosphere has changed so much. Her show resembles a type of church service. I became curious so I started watching regularly. I know it's hip or comical to bash oprah, but I feel that she is slowing transitioning into a cult leader. She is currently doing an online minsitry/study course with author Eckhart Tolle based on his book " A new earth." It just feels very cult like.

I am facinated by methods of persuasion. I love studying clips of guys like Derren Brown. I can't put my finger on it, but through out the course of an Oprah episode she seems to be slowing leading her audience into a state of high suggestability.

Am i just comming out of left field? Has anyone felt this way also?

there are fanatical fans, then there are Oprah fans. At a moments notice I believe Oprah could mobilize easily a few million women. is that a good thing or bad thing?

i couldn't agree more, she first built up a large fan base and is now bombarding them with all kinds of religious and other beliefs. funny thing is, all of her "make your life better" suggestions require buying someone's product.

Oprah is one of the smartest and wisest and sneakyest Business (wo)men in the game!

Shes got more hustle than Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Trump, Gates, Buffet AND Rockerfeller combined! She's better than David Blaine and Copperfeild, you cant even tell your being bamboozled.... and no one can figure out her tricks....

Everytime you flip to her show....check your wallet, she probably just lifted it out your back pocket with out you feeling a thing!

She recently went on a trip to Africa to 'save the children' and give them a whole bunch of new clothes, and books, and school supplies, and shoes and food and what have you... which is great!!! But tell me why she has to have HUGE product shots of the soon to be released Crayola crayons and markers she giving the kids... She FIRST had to show all of us back in America the new fun crayons that are coming out soon for us to buy... and the spiffy new NIKE NIKE NIKE NIKE NIKE NIKE NIKE shoes shes giving them....

The 'Save the Children' bs was one big commercial for her corporate sponsors.... and the women sitting at home, rejoice and praise her name! She made all the money she had to spend going over there back in the first fifteen minutes of the show! She has enough money to buy the whole damn country, but she figured, why spend my money and help, when I can give some people some free advertising, and let everyone who buys Crayola and Nike and everything else pay for it!!! And I'll look good, so they'll be that much more inclined to watch my show tomorrow! Either way I WIN!!

The very next day she gave away $50,000 to some woman in the audience, to advertise the tv show Deal or No Deal.... 50 fucking thousand dollars! The woman who won could have been a millionaire already for all we kno!...Dont you think those kids could have used that money?!?!??

Trust me, she dont give 2 shits about Obama or his platform... She's just looking for a ride into the White House.... Once he's in, it will be like Tony Soprano and the Mafia... Obama I did you a favour, so one day you'll do a favour for me right?

You must respect her hustle tho! She got more game than Jordan, Gretzky, Woods, Ernhart, Bonds, Sanders, Liddell, and Favre combined!
