Yeah, brad's MM is a great starting block to work with. It's a short little plant, but with some strong potency. I'm not sure if it's 100%, but many of them autoflower. It's best for crossing with other strains to bring in the harvest earlier outdoors. Jaysprout from Boreal Genetics used brad's MM to make Migthy Freeze and Mighty Durban, which are outstanding early strains for outdoors.

Of course, GG is great to crossbreed with as well to get an early harvest of potent buds. Olebent's C99 x GG looked awesome and was nice and early. The freeze x gg cross I made and the auto timewarp x GG turned out killer this year and finished at the end of August to early september. I'm going to have to try Brad's new c99xGG and congoxGG next year because I know those will be seriously dank.

Yes, I remember Breederbrad from back in the OG days, he seems like a good grower/breeder.

I tried a mightymite mix about 10yrs ago from bc
It had auto and photosensitive phenos that looked like
durban, skunk, and little 1ft. true autos that were quite good.
then there were the ones that grew from 2-3 ft high and looked like big leafty stemmy footballs with buds on them.It was a wild bunch of genes.
The potency was good and many were finished before August.
It was just a bit too stemmy /leafy.But it was very interesting.

Well judging by the smell of my Bluestreaks leaves at the moment, Mdanzig will have nothing to worry about even if the whole world started breeding auto-flowering hybrids. To put it bluntly, I have never smelt a more appealing, mouth-watering smell. It's sour, sweet and has a strong presence of berrys there too. I hope the smell carries into the buds and into the smoke. If it does, I'll be growing plenty more, quite possibly along with some Masterlow if I can get my hands on some soon.

Holy crap!! greens and Mdanzig on a thread together...better stand the hell back pple :)
It is good to see you up and @ it again mdanzig.

^^^ I'm a little confused...

Maybe I'm just too stoned to understand at the moment, but why would anyone have to "stand the hell back" because Mdanzig and I are on the same thread? Am I really that abrasive? I am also a little confused why brad is laughing at at mdanzig so much. Am I lost here? lol. Damn, I gotta lay off the BHO budder I think. lol.

In my experience, lowryder isn't the kind of thing you'd want to fill your garden with, but it should definitely be in every breeders treasure chest.

It's absolutely ideal for a starting point if you're trying to make an autoflowering version of your favourite strain. It isn't particularly potent but, really.. you're trying to get the thc characteristics of your favourite strain not of lowryder.

Crosses made with lowryder and other autoflowering (ruderalis decendant) do not have a tendency to carry on the "non chronic" genes more than they do to carry on the "super chronic" genes. All it takes is a generation or 2 of selection before you're essentially back up to par.

I have been breeding lowryder #1 crosses for a couple of years and i've found them to be extremely impressive. Like mdanzig said, the first cross normally doesn't produce many, if any autoflowering offspring. After a backcross with LR, almost all are autoflowering. the F2 of this has been completely stable for me, but there must be the odd bean somewhere. Another backcross results in completely autoflowering plants, that are quite obviously not lowryder.

besides autoflowering, lowryder seems to have very weak genes, making it perfect for breeding with whatever you can think of.

the strain i've mainly crossed it with was an excellent bagseed sativa, and the F2 after 2 backcrosses is remarkably sativa, extremely stretchy with very sativa leaves, but more squat indicaish buds. The smell is fairly sour citrus like, but it has that hint of sweetness that lowryder has. I did my best to select for potency, and it is up to par with the original sativa, i'm extremely happy with it.

Thank you mdanzig, i've given pure lowryder seeds out to so many of my friends that couldn't be trusted with a "real" weed plant. Its a great intro to weed for somebody thats never even had a houseplant.

quit hatin the autoflower!

quit hatin the autoflower!

Nice work Mdanzig! I grew autoflower several years ago a variety called moosejaw madness and it was very good smoke as for pulling it in every day to get it flower are you nuts?Alot of us have something called families and JOBS and cant always be around at the twelve hour mark!Autoflower holds tremendous potential for outdoor growers in shitty/unstable climates such as here in upstate NY!When I grew the moose jaw it was done before the rain, rippers, flybys and hunters flood the fields up here also having the first fresh bud on market can be a coup!Anyone who criticizes a whole category of plants based on one grow of one pheno should think more and type less.

sqounk people are looking for facts not opinions :spank:

autoflowering plants seem like the best solution for my winter grows... ill be waiting patiently for blue streak and totally feminzed versions... im under the impression that you cant take cuts of AF strains right? So once i finish running 6 plants i need to germ 6 more seeds?

marijuanamat, thats horrible that lowlife is so blatant. if they sell it as auto lemon stinky.... that would just be totally shameful... using the exact name even and not giving u credit.. but if someone was to make an auto lemon stinky it might prove to be a hell of a yielder... ive always wanted to grow out a pack of the stink but havent had the space or resources yet

You're all experts from my experience base and you provide a serious contribution to the cannabis world! Just in the past couple of years Ive began to understand and consider the potential of auto's and I don't even live in the great white north.

We growers need for you fellows to stop bickering and femminize these autoflowerers. You'll be a god among growers equal to the second comming, commanding honor and praise and casting shadows on mediocre growers like DJ and Sam. (he he) All bow to the developer of the femmed auto's!!!

Who the hell wants a "femmed" auto-flower??IMO one of there good points is being able to make more beans. So I dont have to buy them again!!

Me Rood Spook!! While you're busy trying to find the auto pheno's and kicking out the males, Ill be harvesting 10 mature female plants! Im tired of all the work, I just want the smoke.

For the outdoor grower, one could start the femmed seeds, veg for 30 days, cut the lights back, set them outdoors and have a decent harvest in July. What a dream.

Another old thread...I would go with MASTERLOW the one I been working on ever since M first released it....:)

ok...so....like...what's the best auto flowering strain available now?

depends on what you consider to be the best trait....yield,potency,taste,pest and mold resistant...as well as others....in my opinion..(only because I have not grown very many yet)...but so far I have found the Easyryder to be the most vigorous, predictable, well yielding AF out there....but I have yet to try out some of MDANZIG's new autos yet.....next grow sour 60 will definately be on my list!.......

Haha, which true autoflower yields 6oz? Cause I wanna see that

I have heard that Iranian Auto flower by Dr. GreenThumbs yields as much as 8 ounces...I'll find the pic that Chemdawg posted on one of the forums

Flash seeds also has these Autos called Super Autos and they say on their site that they can get up to 6 and 9ft outdoors..I don't know about indoors..but I'm sure they can still get a pretty good size under a good amount of light and good pot size..

I am wanting to try them, to see how big they can get under a 600 watt light indoors...

here are the descriptions of two of them that I was wanting to look into.....

1.) 'Number One' - Top super auto strains mostly Indica, Number One is a perfect combination between relax and energizing effect, for those who like laying and thinking. Best quality plant, quick, tall, generous yield. Not Number one for nothing!!!

Type: Autoflowering
Height: 1.5 / 2.5 m outdoor
Time to harvest: 90/100 days from seed
Yield: 100 / 200gr per plant outdoor

2.) 'Nirvana Sky' - Super auto mostly Sativa... Sky is near, Sativa taste effect, energizing your body, brain and mind. If you are looking for a Sativa plant auto flowering, here you got it!

Type: Autoflowering
Height: 2 / 3 m outdoor
Time to harvest: 100 / 120 days
Yield: 110 / 250 gr per outdoor

http://automatikseeds.com/54-super-autos

I think you should get out here and grow more Auto Flowers before you state what they can and cannot yield...unless you have grown them all then you simply don't know..there is a lot more out here than just Lowryder these days...
