Epidural spinal injections again tomorrow

All-round 2 of 3 in my spinal injections is on for 9am tomorrow.I leave for vacation at Mrytle Beach next friday so in order for me to ride/drive that long,I needed a fresh epidural.I hope it keeps me from having the fusion the spine guy thinks I need.Peace and One Love BigD Oxycontin is a killer(mentally and physically)

Oxy is horrible.

I have 2 herniated discs and a pinched nerve and I get epidurals and such. Unfortunately I do need some painlkillers(on top of MMJ and injections), in order to function. But, using MJ has helped me go from 80mg of methadone a day for pain to 20mg a day. Hopefully sometime in the future I will be trying to go even lower....


Oh, I should note that though oxycodone(the active ingredient in oxycontin), is not 100% natural it isn't entirely un-natural either.

Hope your back is feeling good. Have you ever tried poppy pods for the pain? I find they help a great deal while keeping alert and they aren't nearly as addicting as oxycodone is.

I have had a fusion at C3-C4, and am now scheduled for another going through the front and back, fusing C5-C6. Horribly unstable vertebrae, and a severely herniated disc at C6.

I tried the epidural injections, and they did nothing for me . The other option that I have been given is Radio-frequency. This is where they actually go in and find the nerves that are transmitting the pain and cauterize them. Not sure if you have been offered this, but it may be something to ask your doc about. Supposedly it is pretty effective, I just don't know about having my nerves in my neck cut off.

Spine issues suck! I am currently on Oxycodone (Percocet) for my pain, and while I love it.. I hate it at the same time. If I could, I would smoke every day-- it's the only thing that allows me to function actively and normally. Stupid laws!
