Ya the map :canabis: ,
I thought it would leave it on the pic to give a quick reference to what part of Canada Iam growing. Now I understand why you asked "Vol Funk" ...me bad :spank:
Thanx again for all your replies :headbange
:smoke:
hamstring: Hi Bud! :rasta:
Ive tried turning soil by hand, and its proved to be way too much work, not too mention turned soil can be seen from the sky very easily IMO.
I water once aweek unless it rains, I will use a slow release fertilizer mixed in the soil as well as 1 cup of DOLOMITE LIME PER BAG TO CONTROL PH.( Nutrients I'll show after I pick them up), I will use nutrients when I water as well, I will use a 2 part powder food, hydroponic grade, around 50 bucks for 2 2/1 gallon containers.
The bags can be moved around for a couple weeks then there roots are too deep.
I understand the need for people to bring plants in and pots are there only option, this does not help in that case scenerio. TEK
On a lighter note... :off2: Does everyone know what the word "TEK"(Technical Ecological Knowledge) means? Ive left the link, since we are all into developing a better tek. :woohoo:
Gunnarguchi: Hi :smoker: How goes it!
I have been working with dutch strains for many years and I tell you they keep getting better, the vast amount of breeders with the internet is amazing. Im allways eager to try strains that have had work done but need further testing in different climates with the possibility of breeding with strains otherwise impossible.

I'll do my best to document there grow cycle..... light hours, weather conditions, time, dates, nutrient cycles and watering times acording to the weather conditions. The Soil I use can hold its own for a week.
Here are a few strains that were used in a G13/Big Funk breeding project.

Gfunk F1 Random bud shot

Durban X GFunk(G13 X Big Funk)

Chemo

Romulan F6

Check my cat out...Im a avid Botanist as you can see I love fungus as well as other ethnogens such as Cati, and poppies :jump:
Peace and good karma to everyone :headbange

Now were gearing things up,
These seeds were donated to me from a Generous Icmag member from the UK (Many thanx :headbange ). Iam as curious to see how these strains will finish up here in the great white north as many of you, They are for the most part "early" strains of North american and European decent. I will be documenting and sharing any info and pics, relating to these and other strains that will be started.
These strains are new to me I have never worked with most of them, so it will be intresting.

bongasaurus:
Hi bro,
its good to know im not alone :headbange

These were put in a cpl days ago, I'll keep updating...

Cloner, these autoflowered Im going to toss them...

Any Ideas from people who have done these strains, What strain will clone easily? What strain will stay in 18 Veg and move outside in 15h daylight with out flowering. Does anyone recommend a light hour different than 18 to start for a peticular strain? Im thinking the sensitive plants should start on 16/8?
Any ideas? :rasta:

Sorry I'm kind of chuckling to myself, you mostly have early strains with a couple autoflowers. I would kill for most of those genetics. Then again I make up for the small size of autoflowers with numbers and do multiple harvests in a year... before the cops and thieves are out.

Might want to hang onto those genetics.

Hi, Mr Celsius!
Kill for......Hmmmm I'll check my list

Those seeds were started yesterday and will be checked daily.
Pictures tonight!!
The first tray of Swazi Prime, black congo, durban X gfunk Gfunk,Redcross and some assorted outdoor strains have germinated, I'll post some pics tonight, theres alot of traveling involved, I do not grow at home.
Anyone who knows me, knows that, so timing can throw me for a loop, -40 below, massive amounts of snow, driveways that need plowing, breakers flipping, I get all the ups and downs.
Ive lost 100's of dollars in seeds from inexperienced people caring for them, my germination method may not be the most desired but I get good results, so far I see 90+ germ rate on all the strains, lets hope we have the same luck with those Donated strains.
I striked way too many seeds but Im going to work with it, I can see 300+ plants being used this year. Of course I cannot care for all of them.....
I split my take with people who have the means to care for them, I do get to go over every detail and discuss what the plants may require. If i can hand out 300 and get 150 back, my job is complete.Sharing and caring.
Rarely you see people discuss this area of growing.....Fact is I touch nothing, been in it too long. Later

Heres a pic of my inncubator, I use it for Fungi(spawn) as well as seeds.
The bottom bin has a heating blanket cable submersed in water, the top bin is air controlled, in and out, I do use a small flourecent when striking seeds.

Well I was going to update this thread with some pics of strains recently germinated, but the uploading button is disabled? Weather is changing for the better, germinating is rough with these dry/cold temps, I see a jungle comming soon :jump:

thank you for representing Canada with yur skills and sharing with us some stuff ... plants look good

I dis-like burlap bags(potato bags) becuz they ripe if piked up after a rain or too and birds piked at mine, ineffect "gutting" the bags exposing the roots ... I stay away from burlap now ...

I've been growing indoors and I'm going to do both this year. Got some farmland lined up, I'm currently working with serious seed chronic and lui, I'm putting them in shaded areas as apparently they don't like direct sun, any tips would be appreciated.
Growing out of burlap is news to me , What are the advantages?

from pg.2 'Anything can happen, floods, droughts, animals, heavy wind, rain, Im prepared to fight all obstacles, thanx for asking."Before I begin to start season I want to be prepare for all possible problems, insects, possible heavy wind,it rains alot too sometimes, animals.
For insects i plan on using an organic spray to keep them away,im unsure on what would help with heavy winds although it doesnt get to windy sometimes,it rains alot but not every day maybe once a week(which would be GREAT it went like that)but i dont think we would get tooo much rain, for animals i plan on making a cage for each plant and bend the tops so they point out during the ealier stages and i plan on doing LST maybe topping

these are guerllia gold. out of 50 seeds there were 27 females. about 7 grew to be dwarfs and were harvested first week in sept. they had tighter buds than the others and smelled more skunky. the remaining 20 went till the 1st week in october and averaged to be around 5' tall. the tallest "kona gold" pheno was about 7' from soil line. were grown in 20 gallon nursury buckets with horse manure that was several years old. several buckets of sand were added to the manure then rototilled into it and mixed again with a shovel to fill 1 think 15 containers. 3 seedlings were planted in each container.
they were grown somewhere in the interior of BC. it is quite hot there and the black plastic and sun dont help with the heat. they required water about once a week maybe 2 if it was really hot. the manure/sand mix worked quite well considering how simple it is.
iguana juice grow and big bud were used to fertilize. every other watering sometimes every 3rd watering depending.
as for how obvious they stand out i know. however helicopters dont fly in that area and they were well away from any human traffic on the far far side of a farmers field. they were spread out in groups.
the average yield per plant was about 3-4 ounces.

the far plant on the right is the kona gold pheno. it was the tallest out of the bunch and yielded i would guess 6 oz?

My veg roomis on 16/8, things look fine, Im going to start cloning a few strains and start germinating others for a more outdoor grow. Should be intresting, Im going to give a final strain list very soon, Im still awaiting a few new arrivals including auto affy and NL#5, I just recieved some cali X mago and Vortex clones recently, as well Iam awaiting some intresting seed strains very soon. Maybe even get a poppy or 2 out there :rasta:
Peace bro's
and stay safe

Allways keeping the original though...im not that stupid :bashhead: Ive had freinds cross a outdoor that finished and it didnt finish after, thats the name of the game :fsu:
I like big bush plants....leb27 also looked very intresting as well as williams wonder and mightymight, GG I will learn to love :rasta: its from manitoba im from manitoba, Ive got a cpl strains of it going right now and I will cross it, since thats my true love.
