NOoooooo!!
I was so hoping you'd do the additional HB x Satori cross! And then cross that with the Satori x HB!

Oh well. lol
Thanks for the eye candy too!

Lol...yeah I might keep the males. It is really hard to transfer the pollen because it all disappears so quickly! So I don't have any more pollen. Hmmm.... I'll save them and think about it.

Yup, kept them alone in the desk. Made it real hard to pull them out of there without dropping pollen everywhere though. Got some HB and Chrystal pollen...4 of my girls are pregnant... Two Satori girls with HB pollen, the Chrys girl with Chrys pollen, and a HB girl with Chrys pollen.

hey rip I don't have any good budshots of Golden Skush but here's a skush plant i chopped not long ago this pic is from Valentine's day.

The one hanging in the fore ground is the skush

I wouldn't call them big buds, but there not bad, and plenty frosty as you can maybe see in the top pic.

I bet that HB is going to be good smoke. I should get some.

Thanks for the pics Hazy  Your GS looks great. Mine is really starting to fill out and I think it could become one of the best in my crop..just a slow grower. Smells like pineapples!

Today is day 50 of 12/12. The two HB's will get a couple feedings of FF Cha Ching and molasses, then I'll start flushing them. I've used very little nutes this whole time so they should smoke real clean.

Yesterday I finally replaced my lights with a new strip of four 42W bulbs. I have to give props to Sogdog for this method...I couldn't fit them in there with the sockets so I removed the threaded metal base and wired the bulbs directly. I then duct taped them to a little board. There is actually more space now even with the bigger lights, having removed the big wood contraption that held the old sockets. Temps are stable in the high 80's. I'll upload some pics in a bit.

....ok so here're the new lights:

The cab today:

One of the pregnant Satori girls:

The pregnant Chrystal girl:

The Golden Skush. Smells just like pineapple :rasta:

Peace

p.s. If you need to wire a bulb like this..

The bulb makes electrical connections to the socket in two places- the side of the threaded metal base, and the tip of the threaded metal base. The two are separated with a little black ring of insulation. Grab the threaded metal cap with pliers...at the base of the metal cap where it touches the plastic, not its tip...now kind of squeeze it and twist so it deforms a little. As soon as it starts to spin, it should come right off.

Remove the cap and you see two wires... one is held to the side of the threaded metal cap, the other is soddered to the tip of the inside of the metal cap (which connects to the very back of the socket).

black (negative) wire (of the power cord) --> wire that goes to back to socket.
white wire (positive) --> wire that goes to the side of the socket.

just remember- black is back!

Thanks fellas. I'm loving the Lebowski avatar, TriCrystalz :smoke:

I'm trying to estimate my harvest... I'm thinking 3-5 g's per plant x 10 plants. I can't really judge the buds though...there could be more like 10 g's each in the end. What do you guys think?

ripOG,
Things are looking good with the plants but I am concerned about the bulbs.

I may be incorrect but the electronic ballast vent appears to be covered in the far left bulb...I'm just trying to look out. Peace and keep up the good work.

Yeah they are all wrapped in duct tape pretty good but not really covered per se. I actually added a little more tape on there the other day. Are you thinking they will get too hot? There's no real vent on the bulbs, just the hole in back from the missing cap. But yeah they don't get too hot, I could probably wrap the bulb in tape and be ok :smoke:

Been having what looks like some Boron deficiency. Showed up the other day on the tops of some of the plants. I was already getting some yellowing from N-def and now this ugly orange crap. Damn! I'm going to pick up some Tiger Bloom later and maybe see if they have some Boric acid or something, but I thing between the TB and the Cha Ching they should get enough Br to recover.

Hahaha rofl...

Dude I am watching that movie right now. "That's right dude, they pee'ed on your fucking rug." My favorite charachter is Brandt, Lebowski's assistant, "Excuse me. Excuse me, thank you. Please don't touch that." Happy 420 everyone :rasta:

I'll upload some pics tomorrow. The HB's should be done soon. I'll start the flush next watering. I think the Satori's still need to fatten up a little.

I have been itching to try removing the base on my big bulbs for a while now. Is it fair to say all CFLs are the same? (same basic design?)

And how's about an update? :rasta:

Day 61 of 12/12

Day 61 of 12/12

Hey ScrubNinja  Yes as far as wiring goes, all bases have to be the same because all sockets are wired uniformly. As far as removing them, I'm guessing they're about the same too... I think all the bases are pretty much crimped on there in basically the same way.

So yeah, grab a wrench and grow on!

I'll post some pics of the girls as soon as I can put down the bong....which is loaded full of some nice Banana Kush....so it may take a while. They all seem to have recovered well from the Boron deficiency. The Golden Skush girl took the brunt of it. I blame everything on the small containers and the Light warrior. With so much drainage I need to water at least every other day...and I need to feed more than I anticipated. Anyway, the GS may be done very soon. I have access to microscopes so I'll inspect the HB trich's soon because I think they are done. Just need to flush them I think. I'm guessing about 5 grams each. Anything more would be a welcome surprise!

Curious observation...

So I normally take all the pants out of the cab and put them on a towel before I water. Normally when I put them back I start on one side and put them back in pairs. Then one time I put them back differently.. I put the tallest ones in back in a row first, then the shorter ones in front. This dropped my temps at least 5 degrees. I then moved the computer fan up from the floor so that it is hanging next to the intake, pointing at the colas. This dropped it another 5 degrees! So, I'm now running at about 80 degrees...10 degrees higher than my room temp... with 168 watts! :smoke:

Day 66

Day 66

Ok, so today is day 66. A few more days to flush the Hashberry's and they're getting pulled. The Satoris will definitely need longer to fatten up.

Theres a shot from today. The Golden Skush girl basically didn't recover from whatever was ailing her. All the leaves dried up and before I knew it she was just some buds on a stick...

I'll flush her for a couple days and then harvest her with the HB's. One of the satoris also suffered from this affliction...you can see her on the far right in the cab shot. I think she may recover. Ok, on with the better stuff...

One of the HB's

The pregnant HB with Chrystal pollen...younger than the other 2.

Here's some "Sashimi" seeds on the bottom of my tall Satori girl.

Both the tall Satori and the little short one are pregnant with HB pollen ("Sashimi"). Here they are... the trich production is noticeably greater on these than on the other un-pregnated Satori girls...

And some more Hashberry shots for ya.

The HB is going to be hard to trim, it's so frosty I want to just dry it and roll it up! It should be fun to recover seeds from the girls. Better yet, I might have use for them on a larger scale this summer :rasta:

Peace and thanks for dropping by everyone
