1.when you go out to check on your plot, put duct tape on the soles of your shoes to cover up your shoe print. you can get convicted over a shoe print so might as well play it safe.

2.its better to have 4+ small grow plots than 1 big one. plant sparceley, never in rows.

3.allways take your trash home.

i know theres millions more so lets hear em.

oops i should have made the #1 rule DONT TELL ANYONE!

Leave no trash behind or have anything at your plot that can visible from foot or the sky.And blend your plants in and camo. Yeah and fuck deer!!! If you see them kill them!

Planting in grow bags or pots that are burried in the ground helps to keep your plants moist longer. Last season we dug holes in the sandy silt type soil. Every time we watered the sand would soak up the water faster than the plants. This resulted in smaller plants. If we had used grow bags the sand would not soak up the water as fast. Newspaper in the bottom of the holes would help also.

know the area well and have multiple entry and exit points
have a pair of binoculars and sit for 30 minutes on a hill before entering your spot - safety comes first
wear colours that match your environment. camo is good too but if someone sees you they will be more suspicious

More often then not, you're going to be driving to your location. If you can find a spot that would seem normal for you to park the better. If going onto government land, like a park, then park outside the parking lot after hours.

If you can follow deer trails to near your spot, then you wont leave any tracks.

Get nightvision goggles, if you can afford them :D

That picture of the rabbits is awesome. Do you care if I download it?

Another option for driving to spots, but only if you have a partner. Get dropped off to plant/tend, then picked up later at a certain time w/ it's clear of traffic. Wait in the bushes for your ride to return...

Eliminates cars sitting beside roads during the growing season where LEO's happily run the plates and find out everything about you. Common practice around these parts...

I know a guy who once had LEO's call his house because they saw the car parked beside the country road in springtime & ran the plates while they were in the bush. He was planting or tending, but fortunately the LEO's believed they were just hiking/enjoying nature when they got the message & returned the call...

Vehicles parked @ roadsides = BIG RISK!!

Peace
