It's normal. Blade count will go back up as the plant fully switches gears.

FYI

I took my cuts of DSD at 14 days of 12/12...Rooted in 14 days and I haven't had any strange leaf patterns or anything like that...In fact the one top I was forced to take is now sprouting like frickin crazy all over the place

I's listen to these guys...All you can do is wait it out :badday:

Hang in there Holmes...Everything is gonna be alright :headbange

I have had that happen too, and most often with a Sour D cross I run. Don't worry, everything will shift back to normal.

Plants get all disfigured and weird leaflets when they re-veg, it will come out of it and start throwing off multi leaflets when its back in veg fully.

i took a couple clones 21 days into flower took 14 days to root. but the tops of the clones had already started budding, took 14 more days to revert back to normal growth. When it did tho i had multiple tops that grew out of all the calaxes looked like i fimmed it. get ready for some serious bushes :headbange great mother potential!

Is re-vegging THE way to go when taking cuttings? or are there more advantages to taking vegetative cuts?

I know that veg-cuts root faster, but i love the idea of taking them after flower.

interesting thread, ~peace

i have taken clones off plants that just started to flower on the tops but not the cuttings that i was taking. multi tops sounds awesome to me! i'll give this a shot. it works out perfect if you have your lights on a flip flop, don't need moms at all. SWEET!

is it myth that they loose something over time? degraded growth, flavor, potency? :fsu:

its better that you dont take them in flower as not many will root.
best time is from a veging plant or a plant thats just shown sex and u took the cut from the bottom of the plant.

I don't think it makes much diffrence. When a plant goes into flowering cycle the stems and stalks get harder, woody in other words. If you take cuttings from parts of the plant that are still plyable/bendable they will root jus as fast as veggin cuts will. A strain like Blueberry will get hard everywhere very quick,so ya got be on yer toes takin them in flower.Im sure there are a few other strains like that too....Also if yer workin witha pheno/strain that is prone ta hermi,it might not be a good idea ta take cutts in flower. The extra stress could jus bring this trait out. That would suck.Well, those are my thoughts anyway. I think if ya continue ta stiffle the same mother plant ina rootbound pot, with low light levels, bad environment,etc... yes,it will slow it's vigor from there on.That's why I think if yer gonna keep the "same" mum ferever ya need ta learn how ta bonsi the plant.By cuttin the roots as well as the top for clones yer gonna keep it's vigor and hardiness rollin right along.Takin a clone from a clone everytime will keep em happy too.Don't hold em back and keep those grow hormones humpin.lol Take care...BC

freakin sweet dude! thanks for the quick response too!

does the plant that the cut is coming off of stress? i'm doing a very small scale v-scrog and a have a feeling that i'm going to need some trimming in the near future. when would be the best time to trim the plants? after the stretch slows before the flowers set was my plan. on day 2 of flower now.

day 10 of 12 veg.
