slow them down!

i have three plants from clone- here they are 5 days ago

and in the same system i have about 8 seeds - you can see the weakest of the seedlings in the picture, and they are growing since this photo as well. these 8 seeds are just taking root in the system and since the 5 days has passed the above mentioned plants are twice as big as in the picture. i want to slow them down. i have been keeping the PPM a little low so that the seeds dont burn and they are growing fine. im wondering will there be any problem with just cutting maybe 25% off the top and 25% of the roots out of the bigger girls? i want to ideally bloom all 11 plants in the 1 system under 2 600ws.

hopefully the picture gallery will reopen so i can show their current progress.

Personally, I'd just cut the foilage back a bit...top them. That alone will slightly shock the bigger plants and slow them down while they rebuild.

I wouldnt lower their light as this might cause stretch and give you more of a headache... and cutting back the roots, well, be my guest but I'd avoid it.

lowering the light will cause stretch? thats a new one... lower the wattage of light? im using a T5, i'm not going to lower the wattage because i have other plants in the same system that i want to catch up as i mentioned. i will probably just cut back the plants and not mess with the roots i guess. i dont want to bonsai them really, just shorten them and hopefully they will be ok with the low ppms under the other ones catch up.

the three plants have been topped. pix to come as soon as they are able again. they are getting big! i didn't clone the tops because they were super thick and i kind of doubt they would clone easily.

I'm in flower with a 17 week flower period so I don't know if this really applies. I was running out of room and so tried; Topping, Supercropping and bending. The topping kinda worked ... for a few days. Suppercropping? The plant just laughed at me. Bending has been very succesful. If the tip ever gets back to where it started, it will be with 6-8 inches of growth with no additional height to the canopy.
