Alternate Pots?

What do/have you used for planters instead of standard flower or nursery pots?

I've used everything from 15-18gal rubbermaid tubs (ahhh, the good ole days ) to beer cups and milk cartons.

Let's see your odd and resourceful "alt. pots"

Yeah tubs, beer cups for veglings-also used 5gal plastic pails, a large 160 litre garbage can can lead to a fruit tree profile.

im using 16oz party cups now also have used 3gal.bathroom trash cans, rubbermaid & steralite totes,water & juice bottles,buckets,small trash bags,plastic cereal bowls

I work at a Whole Foods Market and use the bulk P5 plastic containers, they work great. I use 3gal grow bags later on.

i use 16 oz beer cups for clones and vegging. i just grabbed a shitload of 30 oz tumblers from the dollar store that i'm going to be using during floweing in my upcoming sog grow.

1/2 gal grow bags. Seems to work well and could produce well over 2oz/plant with the right conditions. I think they're more convenient than pots.

two gallon grow bags are new to me but fit in the grow box easier than rigid pots.

I used the tops of plastik bottles.

I cut them off so it looks like a funnel.
Then I use a lighter (heat~) and seal the opening youd normally drink out of,
after that i cut slices out of the sides so the rotts can hang out..

Its the perfekt hydro basket!

why seal it keep it open i have in the past to root clones and establish them


it will auto water the plant just keep water at the level seen in pic

i start off seed in the 50 site rapid rooter tray in soil he he, then transplant upto 3x3x3 inch square flower containers. then to 2 liter soda bottle i have and do flower in these containers but prefer 1-2 gal grow bags. ive used 3 gal plastic square trash cans 22 gal rubbermaid devided into to sections for 2 plants. ive even flowered in as little as 1/2 cup of soil all containers above are reusable. the 3x3x3's i bought a flat of 15 flowers for spring planting and have used the 3x3's for clones and small seed plants, ive had plants in these for as long as 8wks but nor is transplant in 10-14 days.

After about 6 nodes they are too big for 16oz plastic cups with holes in the bottom made with a razor blade and small shears then they go to 2 liter coke bottles with the tops cut off and drain holes ( cut out little circles where the bottle would set set on the ground then to 5 gal buckets or the ground or from cups with hydro to a flood n drain
