If you grow indoors. do you grow all year long? or when it gets cooler ?
i have been growing all year .but i have come to the conclusion that its best to stop growing in the summer because of heat problems.so i am growing some c99 and some sourdog and some kalimist out. and will make it right up to when it starts to get to hot.
now when i start to grow .i like to do a good sativa 60%and higher so as to
have at least 2 grows before the hot weather comes on.and a good indaca to get as many short rotations in as possible .to keep me in every day bud till the end of summer. i can grow in the summer but its like my bud grow better in the cooler weather plus it makes the home hot as hell when in summer .plus i save on heating my home in the winter by using the heat from my grow to warm my house . plus i like gardening and doing things in the summer and having a grow ties you up when there is so much going on in the warmer months thats when c99,kalimist my sativa bud is smoked more . so do you grow at different times? and why?

Where I live, it stays hot most of the year. I'm finishing up my first grow very soon, and have the full intentions of putting my clones into flower this summer. Even though it will definitely be hotter than it has been, I'm confident round two will be better than this one. As long as you have good ventilation and your temps never go past 85... you will be able to have a successful summer grow.

The way I see it---growing decent bud is better than growing no bud.

Well I don't like to buy weed or have to deal with commercial bud so I think that answers that :p. Last summer temps got as high as 100.

equatorial sativas take the heat better than indicas and hybrids. check out Pipedream's thread, he says temps are no problem (I'm not sure what his actual temps are.)

So Maj.Pothead, you use your cenral air to cool your grow? I do the same with 4 lights and it seems to work great with lots of air circulation. I don't even use air cooled hoods and my temps get no more than 88 degree's. Do you use cooled hoods and how well is your heat controlled? Also, do you find the air runs constantly? I do, but if it cools good then it is okay with me.

man its stinking hot in .au not to mention the humidity. they even make songs about it.

"Out on the patio we’d sit,
And the humidity we’d breathe,
We’d watch the lightning crack over canefields
Laugh and think that this is Australia."

so in summer i grow scrog and leave growing massive colas till winter. mold can wreck weeks and weeks of work overnight

As long as you have central air/air conditionar you should be fine, but if you dont and your growing a more than 75% sativa strain it should be good anyway. Marijuana is a weed that is meant for outdoors, you would be surprised what these plants can grow too w/o optimal condions.
