That I do not know about, technically you don't want any dead root material, but it happens a lot even outdoors, so I would not have bothered to cut it off if it was my plant.

Because the lower roots go to the upper part of the plant the higher roots go to the bottom of the plant.

Your upper part of the plant was affected due to being rootbound and some of roots dying.

Ahh, that makes sense. I guess dont let these guys become rootbound ehh?

So I know with seedlings, when you plant them into fresh soil, you do not really need to add any nutes to the water. I just used plain water after the transplant, do you think there would be enough food in the new soil for my gal next watering or should I use a light to med dose (1-2 tsp/gal) of grow big? She still looks pretty yellow..

Nutrients in the soil take time to absorb, so when you feed your plants give a light dosage and your plants should come back. With the amount the plant is deficient in, I would guess that soil would only last 2 weeks before you need to feed every week.

1 tsp of grow big for now, per gallon of water.

Yo Stitch.. Wattup Dude! This watering Im gonna try a med sized dose since it looks really deficient. If she doesnt bounce right back, I wanna cut off all the sickly, top growth. I can wait, even though she does have some solid thickness to her branches now. Do you think cutting it back again would yield thicker, heavier SCROG cadidates? Would it be worth the wait, I am in no hurry to flower her yet.. She simply amazed me the last time I did a major prune; 2 weeks later and she was a new woman! Is this too much shock after a major transplant if the under growth still looks awesome?

If you want to prune her, do so before flowering, removing all bud sites that will not get enough light and yes all the dead leaves you have now, trim them up until the green part. More dead tissue removed the better.

Pruning is almost a must when you grow if you want to increase yield, if you can do a good prune job and a tie down, you have a much better yield.

Well... She's Back! She seemed to like the lighter feeding and is looking like her old self again. Thanks Stitch! thanks to the others that helped too :rasta:

I pulled some of the branches back and trimmed back others. I give her till the end of the month,if not sooner, before I flip the switch. Need to increase the darkness factor in the cab, then Im ready to go.
