The used sub-compact makes me giggle every time. POS car jerks to a stop "and my posses gettin laughed at" ROFL.

And to the earlier poster, signing up for credit monitoring services and pulling your credit for review does NOT affect your credit scores. The only pulls that affect your scores are the ones initiated by creditors when you apply for credit of some sort. Having said that, some of the monitoring services are cracking down and cancelling people that pull their reports every day (even though they are technically allowed to) because of a loophole in the credit bureau's software.

this was a fun thread. glad i caught ur attention. i agree with the laws on over advertising, and checking ur credit report is called an inquiry and checking it will actually bring down ur score, also applying for cards and getting denied.
free credit report, not even free...we should start a class action law suit against the company for false advertisment, maybe they wont play the same commercial so many times.
and if it was really free, how would they have the funds to torture us with the damn commercial!
their original commercials were a lot less annoying!
as for the ones that had to turn a funny thread into a serious one, smoke a bowl and come back im sure u can add something funny to this thread.
as for me, im completely clear headed (sorry for posting now)
i know i will be funnier once i get some thc in my system.
thanks for having fun on my thread :)

i would also like to add:
I LOVE WEED!!!! :)
a much better song

kotton mouth kings-
Ima smoke weeeed for the rest of my life...u can find me posted on the porch tokin on my pipe...ima smoke weeeeed for the rest of my life...im in love with mary jane ima make her my wife....

I think TV commercials are poisonous to the brain. TV is a form of mind control (think Fahrenheit 451). Some countries even tried to get every family a TV so they could broadcast their commy propagada and brainwash them!

Oh man, Tarkus and I always have the "free credit report.com" song stuck in our head. The commercial doesn't really bother me because they are so lame. They play it almost every commercial break but whatever. I'm usually pretty high and don't care :D

It's all those weight loss commercials that piss me off. The majority of the time the people they show aren't even fat! It's called exercise people, geez.

Sorry, but you are wrong. There are several types of inquiries and they are coded differently and only one type affects your scores, the ones from when you actually apply for credit. Account Review (AR), Promotional (PRM), pulls by the bureau itself (like when you dispute something in your report), etc. None of those affects your credit scores. Read about it before you spew false information.

Theyve already been nailed with a class action lawsuit over this practice. IIRC, its actually a service offered by Experian, one of the credit bureaus themselves. The commercials now say "requires enrollment in Triple Advantage", which is the rebilling program as part the class action settlement.

actually it does hurt your credit to check your score, it is all logged in there, and for example you check your credit, and a week before you applied for a card, then after u check ur score u go and try to get an auto loan, they will all be looked at as inquiries and each will take a chunk off ur score, even if u get accepted for the credit cards it may hurt if the line of credit is too high.(even if u dont use them itll b just as bad if not even worse then with no cards)
I know these things buddy...and i dont even have to use google to try to make someone sound like a fool ;)

but come on, why do u have to turn a funny joke thread into something serious...?

Seriously, you have no idea what you are talking about. If you pull your own credit report through a monitoring service or through the CRA directly (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) it will NOT be an inquiry that affects your scores. There are two sections of inquiries on your credit report. One section is the inquiries that potential creditors will see (hard). That section holds the inquiries from your credit card app, car loan app, etc. The second section is inquiries seen only by YOU (soft). That section includes promotional pulls (how do you think you get pre-approval offers in the mail??), account reviews (so current creditors can see whether you are missing payments to anyone), etc.

http://www.equifax.com/cs/Satellite...94/5-1/5-1_Layout.htm?packedargs=Locale=en_US

Only hard inquiries count against your credit score and pulling your own report is not a hard inquiry. And yes, I will turn a funny thread serious when someone posts patently false information.
